I forgot my Facebook password and email password. How can I log into Facebook?

Originally Answered: How can I login to my Facebook account without knowing my email and password?
You may be able to get back into your Facebook account by answering a security question, using an alternate email address listed on your account or getting help from friends. Keep in mind that you'll only see these options if you set them up.
To see if you have these options:
Go to the Facebook login page and click Forgot your account? or Can't login? in the top right.
Fill out the form to identify your account.
Select I forgot my account on the next page if prompted.
Look at the list of email addresses listed on your account. If you don't have access to any of these, click No longer have access to these?
Follow the instructions provided to answer your security question or get help from friends, if you see these options, or contact your email service provider.
Once you get back into your account you can change your login email address at any time from your account settings.

That is a rather unfortunate situation you're finding yourself in. In the case you still have access to the email address you signed up with, but you don't remember which one you used at the time, the Facebook help page suggest the following actions:
Ask one of your Facebook friends to look at the About section of your profile and send you the email address listed in the Contact Information section.
Try entering every email address or mobile number you've owned (one at a time). You may have added an email address or mobile number to your account and forgotten about it.
Enter your username. Your username is your personalized Facebook URL:
If you don't know your username, ask a friend to go to your profile and send you the username in the URL.
Try entering variations of your name, just in case you signed up using a nickname.

If you're asked to enter a friend's name, try a variety of friends if the first friend you try doesn't locate an account. Remember to enter your friend's full name, not just their first name.
If indeed you have no access to you email address either, perhaps because you signed up with Facebook using a 10 Minute Mail email address, or something similar, you have a bigger problem, but it's not impossible, if you have set some of your friends to be 'Trusted Contacts".
From the relevant help page:
If you're locked out of your account, you can use trusted contacts to get access to your account. If you have trusted contacts set up:
Click Forgot your password? and find your account.
Follow the instructions to use your trusted contacts to get back into your account.
You'll receive a set of instructions that includes a URL. The URL contains a special security code that only your trusted contacts can access. Call your friends and give them the URL so that they can open the link and give the security code to you.
Use the security codes from your friends to access your account.
If you don't have trusted contacts set up, learn how.
Please be sure to call your friends or talk to them in person. If your account was hacked, the hacker could have access to your emails as well.

How do you check your archived messages on Facebook
How to View Archived Facebook and Messenger Messages
You can archive messages on Facebook to put them in a different folder, away from the main list of conversations. This helps organize your conversations without deleting them, which is especially helpful if you don't need to message someone but you still want to save the texts.
If you can't find archived Facebook messages, use the appropriate set of instructions below. Remember that Facebook messages can be accessed on both Facebook and Messenger.com.
On Facebook or Messenger

The quickest way to get to the archived messages is to open this link for Facebook.com messages, or this one for Messenger.com. Either will take you directly to the archived messages.
Or, you can follow these steps to manually open your archived messages (Messenger.com users can skip down to Step 3):
For Facebook.com users, open Messages. It's at the top of Facebook on the same menu bar as your profile name.
Click See All in Messenger at the bottom of the message window.
Open the Settings, help and more button on the top left of the page (the gear icon).
Select Archived Threads.

How Do You Unarchive a Message on Facebook
Messages on Facebook messenger may be required to be archived or un-archived so learn how do you un-archive a message on Facebook over here.
Social networking websites have become a vital part of human lives. But as life is on a fast lane, users barely have the time to login to their Facebook accounts to check for Inbox messages. Sites like Facebook have incorporated options of messengers to serve this very purpose. Now when you want to text a quick message urgently, you can do so in a flash with the help of the Facebook messenger. Now, for instance your messenger is hefty with some unwanted messages which you don’t want to keep for long. Archiving them is the only option left with you. But if again you need the same message for some odd grind .You will surely attempt to unarchive the messages. If you are not accustomed to the process of un-archiving the messages. Then you are just got lucky! In this article today we show you the quick steps to un-archive messages on Facebook Messenger.
The conventional way to un-archive messages of Facebook messenger
If you are planning to unarchive any message that you have archived from your Facebook messenger, you can do it directly from your Facebook account. You may also do that from the Facebook messenger, but in case you are facing difficulty, log in to your Facebook account and follow the steps detailed below:
As soon as you login to your profile home page, click on the symbol of messages available on the top task bar of the page. On clicking, a box will appear on screen displaying the list of all the people with whom you had conversations recently. Move your cursor to the top right corner of the tab of messages and click on the dialogue box labeled as “Search Messages” .Next you will have to type the name of the user whose messages you wish to un-archive. As you have archived it previously, it will not appear in the list. However proceed with clicking on his name. This will locate the messages for you. Click on the down arrow key on the actions menu. This will display all the actions that you could execute there-in. Choose the option “Un-archive” from there. This will unarchive the messages that you have archived previously and again you will be able to see those messages on your Facebook messenger.
Unarchive message directly from Facebook messenger
Now the other trick and this one are fairly quicker and you are probably going to try this more often if you are working on a slow internet connection. So let’s find how.

The option of “Unarchive message” will be available beside each archived message. Click on un-archive and confirm your action.
By doing this you can unarchive all the messages that you have archived previously on Facebook messenger. These simple steps mentioned above will help you recover your archived messages without a fuss!

How to log out of Facebook Messenger
How to log out of Facebook Messenger

Facebook decided a while back to make Messenger its own standalone app. The Facebook Messenger app doesn't have a log out button like the original Facebook app though, which irritates a number of users. In this article, we'll show you how to log out of Messenger on Android and iOS from your phone or PC.

How to log out of Facebook Messenger on Android
There are two methods of logging out of Facebook Messenger on Android: clear Messenger's app data in your device Settings, or log out of the Messenger session from your Facebook app.
Clear Messenger app data in Settings
To log out of Facebook Messenger, you need to go into the Settings of your Android device.
Close the app if you have it open, and get rid of it from your recent apps list, otherwise this trick won’t work.
In Settings, scroll down to the Apps or Application Manager, and scroll down until you see Messenger.
Tap on this, and Clear data.
Now when you go back to tap on Messenger in your app drawer, you should see that it won't log you in automatically.
Pro tip: If someone else wants to use your phone to check their Facebook messages while you're still logged in, they just need to tap Switch Account to sign into their own account.Settings > Apps > Messenger > Storage > Clear data / © AndroidPIT
Log out of Messenger session from the Facebook app
If you've got Messenger on your phone, chances are good that you've got the Facebook app as well. From the Android Facebook app, tap the More button on the top right (which should appear as three lines), then go to Account settings, followed by Security and login. You'll see a section called Where you're logged in, then just select the Messenger session and tap Log Out.
Facebook app > More > Account settings > Security and login > Where you're logged in > Messenger > Log Out / © AndroidPIT
How to log out of Facebook Messenger on iOS
Open your Facebook app (not Messenger, but the Facebook iOS app itself), then tap the More button on the bottom right. Scroll down to Settings, tap Account Settings, then Security. In the Security menu, go to Where you're logged in. Once you open it, you can manage all your Facebook account's active sessions across any device, app or browser. Then just close the session listed as "Facebook Messenger on iOS 10" or whichever version of iOS your iPhone is running on. The next time you open Messenger, you'll be logged out and prompted to log back in with the same account as before, or you can choose to switch accounts at that point.Facebook app > More > Account settings > Security and login > Where you're logged in > Messenger > Log Out / © AndroidPIT

You can log out of the iOS or Android Messenger apps from the Facebook website, from your PC or your mobile phone's browser. Go to Facebook.com, then select Settings from the dropdown menu onthe top right. Go to Security and Login, then find the section called Where You're Logged In. Find the Messenger session you'd like to log out of, click the three dots on the right, then click Log Out.Settings > Security and Login > Where You're Logged In > Messenger > Log Out / © AndroidPIT
These workaround methods are a bit annoying, but they work. Facebook doesn't seem keen to change the situation to make it any easier. If you are annoyed by Facebook in general, you might want to consider giving it the boot and trying one of these Facebook alternatives.
What do you think of Facebook's decision to make Messenger a separate app? Does it annoy you that there's no log-out button? Let us know in the comments.

Add a nickname on Facebook

account without email, Add A Nickname On Facebook     No comments

                                             Add a nickname on Facebook

Add a nickname on Facebook
How to Add Nicknames to Your Facebook Profile
Recently, Facebook has renewed its efforts to force users to use their real names, annoying many and causing a lot of confusion. Here’s how to add an other name such as a nickname, alias, or maiden name to your Facebook profile.

You may not use your so-call real life name for any variety of reasons. Maybe you simply don’t go by your given name, or maybe your pseudonym is how you self-identify. Whatever your particular circumstance, Facebook apparently knows better and will send you the following tersely worded warning that you need to update your name.
Facebook can be pretty annoying, and we’ve covered some of the more notable irritations, such as disabling birthday reminders or blocking game and app requests but, these are things that you can attend to at your convenience. Unfortunately, the “real life” name policy requires more immediate attention.
Luckily, you can add another name, such as a nickname, pseudonym, maiden name, and others to your account, which (if you want) will be displayed at the top of your account in parenthesis next to your “real life” name.
To add other names, you want to click “About” at the top of your timeline.

Next click the “Details About You” category and note the “Other Names” settings.
From here you can add a nickname, birth name, and any other of a number of option.
Understand that Other Names are “always public and help people find you on Facebook,” so if your privacy is super important to you then this option may not be the best choice.

From here, if you want your other name shown at the top of your profile in parenthesis next to your “real life” name, you should check “Show at top of profile.” You’ll be able to preview what this will look like before you commit to it.

That’s how you add other names to your Facebook profile using the main website. Here’s how to do it on Android devices.
Adding Other Names on Android

Using the Android app, tap the three lines in the upper-right corner, scroll down, tap “Account Settings.”
Next, on the Settings screen, tap “General.”
Now, tap “Name.”
Just like on the website, there will be an option to add “Add or change other names” so tap that.
Tap “Add a nickname, a birth name…” and you can follow the same procedure as detailed above.

From hereon, it is largely the same across other platforms but let’s very briefly show you how to do it on your iPhone or iPad.
Adding Other Names on iOS
If you’re using an iPad or iPhone then the steps are largely the same as on other platforms. First tap the arrow in the upper-right corner and from the resulting menu, tap “Settings.”

Now, on the Settings screen tap “Name.”
And, here we are again at the Change Name screen. Under the Other Names option, you now just need to tap “Add or change other names.”

Then, same as on Android, tap “Add a nickname, a birth name…”
Hopefully this is a suitable compromise between displaying your “real life” name and the identity by which you actually want to go by. In any event, if you’ve gotten one of Facebook’s warnings, then this is the your best option to appease them.

We could write long-winded screeds about Facebook’s “real life” name policy or just Facebook in general, but this is a how-to article so we’ll leave the rants and complaints to you. Have you been targeted by Facebook because your name doesn’t adhere to their “real life” name policy? Please feel free to let it rip in our discussion forum.

Gif to Video
Have you ever seen an animated GIF on a service like Imgur or Gfycat and inspected it in DevTools, only to find out that GIF was really a video? There's a good reason for that. Animated GIFs can be downright huge. It's not uncommon for GIFs to tip the scales at several megabytes, depending on quality, frame rate, and length. If you're trying to improve loading performance for your site and help users reduce data usage, animated GIF just isn't compatible with that goal.Figure 1. Chrome DevTools showing a 13.7 MB GIF. That's bigger than even most websites!

Thankfully, this is one of those areas of loading performance where you can do relatively little work to realize huge gains without sacrificing content quality. In this article, you're going to learn how to do what the GIF hosting sites do to keep their bandwidth bills from going through the roof, and convert those giant GIFs into lean and fast video files!

You'll then learn how to properly embed these videos in web pages so they behave just like GIFs. Finally, we'll talk a little bit about decoding performance for both GIF and video. Before you know it, you'll be well on your way to shaving megabytes off your GIF-heavy web pages in no time at all!

There are a number of ways you can convert GIFs to video, but ffmpeg is the tool we'll use in this guide. You may already have ffmpeg installed. To check, open a terminal and run the ffmpeg command. If it's installed, you'll see some diagnostic information. If you receive a "command not found" or similar error, you'll need to install it. How you install ffmpeg depends on the platform:
For macOS, you can install via Homebrew or compile it yourself.
For Windows, use Chocolatey.
For Linux, check if your preferred distro's package manager (e.g., apt-get or yum) has a package available.

The truth is, that in today’s world, if you don’t have a facebook account you don’t exist. But, there are also countless websites today that have their own facebook account and an icon that says like us on facebook. It’s that little blue square with the white F letter located in one of the corners of the site next to some others social media buttons and its purpose is to take you to the site’s facebook page when you click on it.

Twitter Bootstrap Icons
You can also include a bit of CSS color code to display the Bootstrap icon in a color other than the default black.

Facebook's real-name policy does not reflect adopted names or pseudonyms used by the transgender community, and has led to suspending users with real names that might be thought to be fake.A user via the anonymous  and  app Secret began reporting "fake names" which caused user profiles to be suspended, specifically targeting the

Transgender people have also been affected by the policy, including one former Facebook employee who initiated development on Facebook's custom gender options, who was suspended on the day the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges that same-sex marriage bans were unconstitutional. According to gender non-conforming activist D. Dragonetti, Facebook even disregarded their government identification when supplied.

On October 1, 2014, Chris Cox, Chief Product Officer at Facebook, offered an apology to the LGBT community and drag kings and queens:
In the two weeks since the real-name policy issues surfaced, we've had the chance to hear from many of you in these communities and understand the policy more clearly as you experience it. We've also come to understand how painful this has been. We owe you a better service and a better experience using Facebook, and we're going to fix the way this policy gets handled so everyone affected here can go back to using Facebook as you were.

Secular, atheist, agnostic, humanist, or users who comment or blog expressing views critical of particular religions, sects or religion in general, as well as religious people who express the opposing views critical of atheism or agnosticism very often have a legitimate need to use an alias. Some of these users could suffer rejection, retaliation or violence if their views – contrary to those of their family, friends or community – are known. In some cases, secular bloggers are exposed to imprisonment by an intolerant government, violent attacks in the street or even being killed by religious fanatics. Examples are the incarceration of activist and blogger Raif Badawi in Saudi Arabia and a string of attacks and murders of secular activists in Bangladesh or Pakistan.

International non-profit digital rights group Electronic Frontier Foundation stated they were "alarmed to hear that Facebook's 'real name' policy is disproportionately affecting the LGBTQ community."

Online magazine Queerty called Facebook's policy "a frankly creepy overreach of authority", adding "There are a million reasons why someone would choose to self-identify with a name other than the one that's printed on their birth certificate. And really, it's absolutely none of your business in the first place."

In an interview for MAGE Magazine, Second Life entrepreneur Jennifer Ceara Firehawk stated: "If we are not using our page to abuse or grief others they just need to leave us be. We are not hurting anyone… FB does not realize some SL people earn lindens to turn into RL (real life) money and that is how they make a living. Once you force a person to change the SL name they will lose money due to not being able to find them on FB or SL as they may use FB for their buisness [sic] or advertise. So they end up losing buisness [sic] and money."
