This wikiHow teaches you how to prevent anyone from seeing your date of birth on Facebook. You can change your birthday privacy settings on both the Facebook website and the Facebook mobile app.
Method 1On Desktop
1. Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ in your computer's web browser. Facebook will open to your News Feed page if you're logged in.
If you aren't logged in, type in your email address and password in the top-right corner of the page and click Log In.
2. Click your name tab. It's in the top-right section of the Facebook page. Doing so opens your personal Facebook page.
The name tab will also have a small image of your current profile picture.
3. Click About. This tab is below your cover photo near the top of your profile page.
4. Click Contact and Basic Info. It's on the left side of the page.
5. Scroll down to the "Basic Info" heading and hover over "Birth Date". The Basic Info section is under the "Websites and Social Links" area. Hovering over "Birth Date" will prompt the Editoption to appear.
6. Click Edit. It's to the right of your birth date. The "Birth Date" section will expand to display privacy options.
7. Click the person-shaped icon. This option is to the immediate right of your birth date's month and year line. A drop-down menu will appear.
8. Click Only me. This option hides your birthday from your profile.
If you want to hide the year in which you were born as well, click the person-shaped icon to the right of the year and click Only me in the resulting drop-down menu.
9. Click Save Changes. Your birth date will no longer appear on your profile.

Method 2On Mobile
1. Open Facebook. Tap the Facebook app icon, which resembles a white "f" on a dark-blue background. This will open your Facebook News Feed if you're logged in.
If you aren't signed into Facebook, enter your email address (or phone number) and password and tap Log In.
2. Tap your profile icon. It's the person-shaped silhouette at the bottom of the screen (iPhone) or the top of the screen (Android). Doing so opens your Facebook profile page.
If you don't see this icon, tap instead the ☰ icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen (top-right on Android), then tap your name at the top of the resulting menu.
3. Tap Edit Profile. You'll find this tab below your cover photo near the top of your profile page.
4. Scroll all the way down and tap Edit Your About Info. It's a link at the very bottom of the page. Doing so opens a list of your profile information.
5. Scroll down to the "Basic Info" heading. You'll find it near the middle of the page.
6. Tap Edit. This option is to the right of the "Basic Info" heading.
7. Tap the "Privacy" icon. It's the person-shaped icon to the right of your "Birthday" heading near the top of the page. A drop-down menu will appear.
8. Tap Only me. This option is in the drop-down menu. Doing so hides the month and day of your date of birth from your profile.
If you don't see Only me in the drop-down menu, tap More Options in the drop-down menu, then tap Only me in the resulting menu.
9. Hide your birth year. If you don't want people to see your birth year either, tap the "Privacy" icon to the right of it, then tap Only me in the drop-down menu.
Again, you may have to tap More Options before you see the Only me option.
10. Scroll down and tap Save. It's a blue button at the bottom of the page. Doing so saves your changes and hides your birthday from your Facebook profile.
