How to delete a Facebook account permanently

Accepted friend request from hacked Account, How to delete a Facebook account permanently     No comments

How to delete a Facebook account permanently. Whether you’re concerned about your online privacy or just getting tired of constant status updates from old school friends that you’ve since realised aren’t actually that cool, there are plenty of reasons why you might want to delete your Facebook account – and it’s not as hard as you might think.
How to delete a Facebook account permanently

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of how to delete Facebook step-by-step, including outlining the difference between ‘deactivating’ your account, and deleting it entirely.

If you’re thinking about deleting your account then you’re not alone. Between the Cambridge Analtyica scandal and increasing worries about the effect social media has on our individual and societal health, people are increasingly turning away from these sites that have come to dominate the internet.

Whatever your reason, deleting or deactivating your account is actually pretty easy. Here’s how you do it.
How to delete or deactivate a Facebook account – what’s the difference?

There are two different ways to get your Facebook account offline. The first is deactivating, which means:
You can reactivate your account whenever you want
People can’t see your Facebook Timeline, or search for you
Some information may remain visible (like messages you’ve sent)
Facebook saves your account info (like friends and interests) in case you reactivate

Some information may remain visible (like messages you’ve sent)
Facebook saves your account info (like friends and interests) in case you reactivate

But deleting your account is a much more serious matter. If you delete your account:
Facebook delays deletion for a few days after the request is made. If you log in during the grace period, the deletion is cancelled
You can’t regain access to your Facebook account once it’s deleted
It can take up to 90 days for your data that’s stored in backup systems to be deleted. However, your info isn’t accessible on Facebook during this time

Some things aren’t stored in your account, like messages that you’ve sent to friends – these will remain active
Copies of some material (like log records) may remain in Facebook’s database, but are “disassociated from personal identifiers,” according to the company

Basically, deactivating is a way to cool off from Facebook for a while, while deleting is a permanent solution that you should think carefully about before choosing.

4. Click ‘Manage your account’
5. Press ‘Deactivate your account’, and then follow the steps to confirm your decision

To reactivate your account after deactivating it, simply log into Facebook your e-mail and password. Your profile will be entirely reinstated.
Deleting your Facebook account is a serious decision, so make sure it’s something you really want to do. Whether you like it or not, social media is ingrained in society, and your Facebook profile can affect friendships, job prospects, and social opportunities. Remember that there are also ways to secure your Facebook privacy settings., if that’s your particular concern.

Plus, you may miss out on some ‘dank memes’ by deleting Facebook, and however grating it is in places, it’s also useful for plenty of things, such as keeping up with friends from abroad and organising events.

If you’re set on binning the social network off for good, click the following link and choose the ‘Delete my account’ option:

Before deleting your account, it may be worth downloading your Facebook data. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click the account menu down arrow at the top right of any Facebook page in your web browser
2. Click ‘Download a copy of your Facebook data’ at the bottom of your General Account Settings
3. Choose ‘Start My Archive’

The file that begins downloading will contain your Facebook profile information, so be very careful about where you keep it.

How do I search a text keyword in a Facebook Page
up vote 14 down vote favorite
I once liked one text post from one FB Page without clicking its like button (because basically I like every text post from this page).
Now, I have to refer that text post in my writing, but the thing is I forgot which post that has that text keyword, I tried searching that keyword by including the name of my FB Page and the keyword on the Search textbox at the right of Facebook's Earth icon, but that didn't work.
How can I search a text keyword in a Facebook Page? So that I can get its post, the one and only, just like when I got a twitter status that has the text keyword I searched.

If the term you are searching for is pretty specific you could try:
entering the search term in the Facebook search box.
Select See more results for %your search term%
Then in the left hand menu select Public posts
I came across similar problem and thus created Advanced Facebook Search that searches the News Feed of any Facebook page or a Friend or your News Feed for a Query String and returns the search results ordered by Likes, Shares, Creation Time or Comments Count.

4 Ways to Crack a Facebook Password & How to Protect Yourself from Them « Null Byte :: WonderHowTo
Despite the security concerns that have plagued Facebook for years, most people are sticking around and new members keep on joining. This has led Facebook to break records numbers with over 1.94 billion monthly active users, as of March 2017 — and around 1.28 billion daily active users.
We share our lives on Facebook. We share our birthdays and our anniversaries. We share our vacation plans and locations. We share the births of our sons and the deaths of our fathers. We share our most cherished moments and our most painful thoughts. We divulge every aspect of our lives. Clinical psychologists have written entire books detailing the surprisingly extensive impact Facebook has on our emotions and relationships.
But we sometimes forget who's watching.

We use Facebook as a tool to connect, but there are those people who use that connectivity for malicious purposes. We reveal what others can use against us. They know when we're not home and for how long we're gone. They know the answers to our security questions. People can practically steal our identities — and that's just with the visible information we purposely give away through our public Facebook profile.
Image via Digital Trends

The scariest part is that as we get more comfortable with advances in technology, we actually become more susceptible to hacking. As if we haven't already done enough to aid hackers in their quest for our data by sharing publicly, those in the know can get into our emails and Facebook accounts to steal every other part of our lives that we intended to keep away from prying eyes.
In fact, you don't even have to be a professional hacker to get into someone's Facebook account.
It can be as easy as running Firesheep on your computer for a few minutes. In fact, Facebook actually allows people to get into someone else's Facebook account without knowing their password. All you have to do is choose three friends to send a code to. You type in the three codes, and voilà — you're into the account. It's as easy as that.

Who viewed my Facebook profile Picture

Who viewed my Facebook profile Picture
Who viewed my Facebook profile Picture
Can I See Who Viewed my Facebook Profile?
Click here to see who viewed your Facebook profile' — If you are an active Facebook user you must have seen this bait on your Facebook timeline very often. Or perhaps, this can be attributed to the fact that we, as humans, have a deeply curious nature and we love to measure our popularity online. Whatever is the reason, the question of 'Who viewed my Facebook profile' or 'Who visited my Facebook page' remains one of the most popular ones in the last decade.

Given the amount of time and energy many of us put in making a Facebook page charming, it’s quite natural for someone to get curious about their profile visitors.
If you are one of these curious folks, then get ready for some disappointment. No, FB doesn’t let you know who has visited your profile — whether it’s friends or strangers. Nor is there any way to find out who has visited your Facebook profile.

Myth Origins
This myth seems to have originated from the days of Orkut. If you recollect, Orkut had the famous Profile Visitors option which let you see who visited your profile and vice versa.

As Facebook slowly replaced Orkut on the social media platform, this was one of the questions that refused to fade away. And even when you choose to forget about it, the third-party app notifications will make sure that the curiosity is kindled once again.
Given the amount of time and data that Facebook has invested in tracking your online movement, it’s natural that they have this data.
To put it simply, they have the data but no, they are not sharing it with anyone
And it’s highly unlikely that the social media giant would be outsourcing the profile IDs or the profile visitors for answering something as trivial as 'Who visited my Facebook profile'.
To put it simply, they have the data but no, they are not sharing it with anyone.

How to terminate Facebook account Permanently

How to terminate Facebook account Permanently
How to terminate Facebook account Permanently

What’s more is that those 5,000 friends thrive on knowing that she might be interested. That she just might be impressed by what they’re doing or where they’re going.
Aspirational friendship is as important to maintaining her personal brand reputation as anything she can do on her business page. When these friends want to learn more about what she is interested in, they’ll be much more likely to turn to her. (Read more about group influences and reference groups here.)
A personal profile certainly isn’t right for every entrepreneur. You generally want to keep your Facebook profile personal and connect with your customers and clients through a page – where they aren’t required to “request” your friendship. But for the people behind the brands; for the celebrities in their industries; for the opinion leaders,Facebook needs to make an exception so we don’t have to find solutions like the below.

Asking people to “subscribe” is a one-way relationship, much like becoming a fan of a page. It’s impersonal, and this image probably breaks Facebook’s terms of use for the cover photo (technically, we shouldn’t be asking people to use any of the Facebook actions from our cover photo).
This graphic seems to be the only way we can show people that they can keep up with her updates without being able to become her friend. People tend to be unfamiliar with the ‘Subscribe’ function, especially in her target demographic.

The real problem with the above solution, more importantly, is that when she travels to her next conference and meets real people, face to face, and wants to connect with them via Facebook upon her return, she’ll have to cull her list first – or “defriend” some random folks from that 5,000 limit. And those random folks might just have been her next students or biggest fans.
She’ll have to choose who is a better friend to keep: one with whom she’s actually had a conversation or one with whom she’d hope to in the future. It’s a decision no entrepreneur should have to make.

What’s more is that the 5,000 friend limit is not just for friends – it’s for connections in general. Every person can have a maximum of 5,000 connections on Facebook, which include both friends and Pages. You will not be able to accept incoming friend requests or like any more Pages if you get to that number.

How to Hide Friends List on Facebook Timeline
Recently I had my mother call me up at 11PM at night on a Tuesday to ask me a question about her Facebook profile: She wanted to know how she could make her friends list private from everyone else on her friends list and the rest of the world in general.
After rolling my eyes and scoffing, I asked her if she was crazy. Did she really not know how to hide her friends list? I could have sworn I saw her do it before, and then switch right back to keeping her friends list visible.
She told me that she decided to opt in on the new Facebook Timelinelayout, and ever since she did, she's even more confused about how to keep up with her profile than it was when she first joined Facebook in 2010.

I figured I'd cut her some slack and wouldn't poke too much fun at her, but decided to do a Google search on how to make your friends list private on Facebook Timeline since I had never tried to do so myself (I'm still hanging around with the older layout at the moment). I was amazed to find that there wasn't a quick and simple step-by-step guide on how to hide your friends list, so I took it upon myself to take the plunge and switch over to the Timeline layout so that I could help others out!
How to Make Your Friends List Private with Facebook Timeline
Step One: Go to your profile. You should see a white area beneath your profile picture that displays information such as your location, where you work, and to the right it should show things such as photos, maps, likes, etc. One of these things should be your friends list. Click on it.

a little hard to read, but that's the pop up!
Keep in Mind
While your friends list may be private, mutual friends between you and others will always show.
Step Two: Click the edit button which you can find on the top right part of the page. There should then be a popup that asks "Who can see your full friends list on your timeline?"
There's a little globe in the right hand corner of that popup. When you click it, there will be a small drop-down menu of options for you to choose from; public, friends, friends except acquaintances, only me, and custom.

 How to know block Facebook
Ways to Track Who Blocks You on Facebook
Getting blocked on Facebook is not fun for anyone, but if you also use Facebook for your small business, getting blocked can take on a whole new dimension in terms of unnerving experiences. Facebook makes the act of blocking someone a confidential matter and does not offer any tools to help you discover if you have been blocked or not. However, with a bit of detective work, you can usually determine if you have been blocked. Remember that just because someone is no longer visible in your list of friends does not necessarily mean you have been blocked. You may have been "unfriended," the person may have terminated their account or Facebook may have suspended their account.
Search Results

If someone has blocked you, rather than simply discontinued your friendship, his name will not show up in your account's search results. Try typing the person's name in the search field at the top of your Facebook home page. If you don't find that person, you may have been blocked. However, he may have simply changed his security settings to prevent anyone but friends from searching for him. Try logging out of Facebook or toggling to your business account (click the arrow in the upper right corner and select "Log In As"). Try searching for the person again. If the person is not visible in a public search or from your business account, you may have been blocked. If the person is visible in a public search, but not visible in a search from your personal account, you've been blocked.

Mutual friends can be a good indicator to see if you have been blocked. Navigate to a profile of someone who was a mutual friend with the person you suspect has blocked you. A list of some of her current friends is on their profile page. Click the "See All" link at the top of the list. A search field appears at the top of the page, which you can use to type the person's name. If the person's profile appears, you have not been blocked. If it doesn't appear, you may have been blocked. While few people have their friends listed publicly, if you can find such a person, try logging out of Facebook and looking at their list of friends. If the person is visible there, but not when you were logged in, you have been blocked.

Yes. I belive it does. There are multiple complaints all over the internet about this.
I have observed that Facebook or connected apps usually send friend requests from your account to new accounts.
To confirm this yourself, check your notifications every now and then you'll see this notification.
Once you click the notification you can see this.

You can see that it looks like you have sent the request, but you haven't.
Look out for this notification.
Between I'm still trying to figure out how to fix this.
Thanks.

How can You Accept Facebook Good friend Requests Automatically
For many people, accepting Facebook friend requests isn't a lot of a burden. Requests trickle into your inbox every once in awhile, you wide open the Facebook notifications site, press accept, and approach on. Some people, however, gets many requests every day, so various that it becomes a genuine problem to deal with every one of them in a timely manner.
For instance, let’s say you’re doing an internet marketing, and it certainly starts to remove. Accepting hundreds of requests each day could take up considerable time. Another example will be someone coordinating a large function. If there was a means of quickly accepting each one of these requests, it could save a great deal of time.

 Facebook animated profile Picture
Facebook has rolled out its new mobile profile options for some lucky users, and if you're among them, it means you have access to the new GIF-like profile pictures.
You won't know you have the new profile unless you go check your profile on the mobile app (right now, it's available for iOS only). Hit the "More" tab, then select your name to head to your profile. If you have the new creative suite, you'll immediately notice your profile picture sitting in the middle of the page. There will be a prompt asking if you want to add a new summary bio—hit edit and enter whatever emoji (or, you know, words) your heart desires.

Onto what matters: Your looping profile video. There should be an icon flashing between the camera and the video symbol on your profile picture. Hit that and choose whether you want to take a video or upload one.

Here’s How Easy It Is to Make a Facebook Profile Video
Videos can only be seven seconds, so you're best off going to your gallery beforehand and editing something down (or taking a new video). If you have a new iPhone 6S or 6S Plus, then this is the perfect opportunity to show off Live Photos.

The only other thing left to do with your fancy new profile is add your featured photos. Below the About Me section, you will see five spaces for photos of your choosing.
While all of this is viewable across Facebook, it's only edit-able via the mobile app. But don't worry, it will still show up via the web app—here's what it will look like:

How do i log off messenger App
Facebook decided a while back to make Messenger its own standalone app. The Facebook Messenger app doesn't have a log out button like the original Facebook app though, which irritates a number of users. In this article, we'll show you how to log out of Messenger on Android and iOS from your phone or PC.

How to log out of Facebook Messenger on Android

There are two methods of logging out of Facebook Messenger on Android: clear Messenger's app data in your device Settings, or log out of the Messenger session from your Facebook app.
Clear Messenger app data in Settings
To log out of Facebook Messenger, you need to go into the Settings of your Android device.
Close the app if you have it open, and get rid of it from your recent apps list, otherwise this trick won’t work.
In Settings, scroll down to the Apps or Application Manager, and scroll down until you see Messenger.
Tap on this, and Clear data.
Now when you go back to tap on Messenger in your app drawer, you should see that it won't log you in automatically.

Set up Facebook Group

Set up Facebook Group
Have you joined many Facebook Groups?
I'm finding myself spending more and more time in groups.
And Facebook is recommending more and more groups to me.
Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people don't know how to create a Facebook Group.
So I thought I'd give everyone a basic tutorial on how to get one started -- along with some tips on settings, etc.
This will be in similar fashion of my post on How to Create a Facebook Business Page.
What is a Facebook Group?
Groups are meant to be a close circle of people who share and keep in touch on Facebook.

People tend to create them around things like:
Topics
Books (think of it like a book club)
Their business (sort of like an "insider's club")
To sell items locally
Exclusive membership site
Support groups
There is no "Wrong" topic for a group IMHO. It all depends on your:
Goals
Focus
Business
Topic
Once you determine why you want to use one and how it will help promote and support one or several of the above, it's time to create your own Facebook Group.

And it's easy!
How to Create a Facebook Group
1. Find "Add Group"
From your "home page" on Facebook go to the Explore - Groups section on the left side menu and click on, "Groups."
Once you get there, it will look like this:

2. Click "Create Group"
You'll be taken to a page that displays the option to create a group as well as showing you some:
Pending Invites
Favorites
Your Groups
Groups You Manage
To begin the process of creating a group, click "Create Group" in the upper right hand corner.

How to find someone blocked on Facebook

Follow for Follow on Instagram: Is it Worth It?
Instagram is a harsh, cruel, competitive world to be in right now.
There are millions of things fighting for your audience’s very limited, very superficial attention. Like Bitcoin. Or Trump. Or fluffy kittens. Who on Earth can compete with that?! Especially when the algorithm is literally eating you alive, when Stories and Recommended Posts are dominating everyone’s feeds, and your own content is becoming pretty much invisible.
These were the thoughts I was having the other month, on one particularly miserable afternoon, sad and alone, contemplating my Instagram, my followers, and my growth. And when I say “growth” what I really mean is all those followers that are unfollowing me and all those followers who COULD be my followers but they aren’t.

Again: not fair!
Now, what was the brilliant solution that I came up with that day?
Playing the follow for follow game.
I know, I know. It’s against the rules… Or is it? Doesn’t it often seem like a lot of big accounts became big by bending the rules a bit? Can follow for follow really help you build an audience? And be a sustainable growth strategy?
As they say, you never know unless you try. So I decided to try for myself and see if follow for follow really works. The goal was: follow 10 thousand people (yep! I aimed high!), wait until they follow me back, and then heartlessly unfollow them all and see what happens.

Don’t fall for it: New Facebook hoax warns of hacker’s friend request
NEW YORK (WPIX) — A Facebook hoax is making the rounds again, urging readers to avoid accepting friend requests from a nefarious stranger intent on hacking into their account as soon as they're connected on the social networking site.
Making the ominous warning even more viral, the message comes with a directive to let your friends know about the hacker because, the post says, if your friend accepts the nefarious request, you will be hacked, too.

But none of this is true.
How to avoid Facebook phishing scams
For years, various versions of the hoax have circulated. Different iterations have named Jayden K. Smith, Anwar Jitou, "Maggie from Sweden," Tanner Dwyer, Bobby Roberts and several others as phoney hackers, according to the myth-debunking site Snopes.com.
The message typically follows this format, saying:
"Please tell all the contacts in your Messenger list, not to accept Anwar Jitou's friendship request. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebook account. If one of your contacts aceepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure that all your friends know it. Thanks. Forwarded as received."
