This wikiHow teaches you how to unfriend multiple people at once on Facebook. While you can't do this from within Facebook's settings, you can use a Google Chrome extension to select multiple people for deletion. You will need a computer and Google Chrome to do this. If you're okay with deleting your friends one-by-one, you can use Facebook's Friends list on both desktop and mobile.
Method 1Using a Chrome Extension
1.Open
Google Chrome. Click the Chrome app icon, which resembles a green, red, yellow, and blue sphere icon.
If you don't have Google Chrome, download and install itbefore continuing.
2.Go to the Friend Remover webpage. Friend Remover is a browser extension that will mass-delete Facebook friends for you.
3.Click Add to Chrome. It's a blue button in the top-right side of the Friend Remover page.
4.Click Add extension when prompted. Doing so will install the Friend Remover extension for your Google Chrome browser.
5.Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/. This will open your Facebook News Feed if you're logged into Facebook.
If you aren't logged in, first enter you email address (or phone number) and password in the top-right side of the page.
6.Click the Friend Remover icon. It's a blue box with a white silhouette of a person on it. You'll find this in the top-right side of the Chrome window. Doing so will open a new Facebook tab with a list of your friends.
7.Select friends to remove. Click each friend you'd like to remove in the window on the left side of the page. Each person you click will be selected.
8.Click Remove Friends. It's a red button in the bottom-right side of the page.
9.Click Remove Friends when prompted. Doing so will remove your selected friends from Facebook.
Method 2Using Facebook on Desktop
1.Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ in your computer's web browser. This will open the News Feed if you're logged in.
If you aren't logged in, enter your email address and password before proceeding.
2.Click your name tab. It's in the upper-right side of the page. This will open your Timeline.
3.Click the Friends tab. This tab is below your cover photo near the top of the page.
4.Find a friend to remove. Scroll down until you find the person whom you want to remove from your Facebook Friends list.
5.Select Friends. It's to the right of the person's name and profile photo. A drop-down menu will appear.
6.Click Unfriend. This is at the bottom of the drop-down menu. Doing so immediately removes the person from your Friends list.
7.Repeat as needed with other friends. You can quickly remove other friends in this list by selecting the Friends button next to their names and clicking Unfriend when prompted.
Method 3Using Facebook on Mobile
1.Open Facebook. Tap the Facebook app icon, which resembles a white "f" on a dark-blue background. This will open the News Feed if you're logged in.
If you aren't logged in, enter your email address and password before proceeding.
2.Tap ☰. It's in either the bottom-right corner of the screen (iPhone) or the top-right corner of the screen (Android). A menu will appear.
3.Tap Friends. This option is in the menu.
On Android, you'll first tap Find Friends and then tap the FRIENDS tab in the upper-right corner of the page.
4.Find a friend to remove. Scroll down until you find the person whom you want to remove from your .Facebook Friends list.
