If I want to know whether someone has a Facebook account and uses it, should I say:
1. Do you have Facebook
2. Do you have a Facebook account?
I think 2 is perfectly fine, but 1 is a little odd.
And if I just want to know that info, it's even better to ask "Do you use Facebook?" because you own an account doesn't mean you use it.
"Do you have Facebook?" - incorrect
"Do you have a Facebook account?" - correct
"Do you use Facebook?" - correct
"Are you on Facebook?" - correct, and perhaps what you will hear most often.
