How to give apps permission to use your location
Some apps might not work unless you turn on Location Services.1 The first time an app needs to access your Location Services information, you'll get a notification asking for permission. Choose one of these options:
Tap Allow to let the app use Location Services information as needed.
Tap Don't Allow to prevent access.2
iOS devices might use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to determine your location. GPS and cellular location are available on iPhone and iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular) models.
How to turn Location Services on or off for specific apps

Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
Make sure that Location Services is on.
Scroll down to find the app.
Tap the app and select an option:
Never: Prevents access to Location Services information.
While Using the App: Allows access to Location Services only when the app or one of its features is visible on screen. If an app is set to While Using the App, you might see your status bar turn blue with a message that an app is actively using your location.
Always: Allows access to your location even when the app is in the background.

How do I set up Windows Messenger?
Windows Messenger will probably already be running when you log into Windows. You will see an icon for it in the system tray, the area on the lower right of your screen. To start up Windows Messenger, double-click on its icon in the system tray to open the sign in window.
If you do not already have a .NET Passport, Windows Messenger will prompt you to obtain one and open the .NET Passport Wizard to step you through the process.
A .NET Passport consolidates all of the sign in information for Microsoft services into one account. It allows you use the same account information to log in to Microsoft’s free Hotmail email service as well as Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger.

If you already have a Passport account, the Windows Messenger sign in window will open.
If you share a computer with someone else, such as another teacher, their account may already be listed at the top of the window. To log in using your account instead, click on the “Sign in with a different account” link at the bottom of the window. If your name already appears at the top of the window, just click on the link below your screen name to log in.
You will then be prompted to enter your user name and password. For Windows Messenger, your user name is your full Hotmail email address. If you want to log in automatically the next time you open up Windows Messenger, make sure the “Sign me in automatically” box is checked in the sign in window. Once you have entered your sign in information, click OK to log in.

Log out of your Facebook account.
Click the address bar at the top of the screen. Erase any Web address that is currently listed.
Enter the URL of the Facebook account that you suspect has blocked you. The URL looks like this: "www.facebook.com/name," where "name" is replaced with the account you are checking. If you do not know the URL, there is no way to find it.
Press "Enter" to view that person's Facebook page. If the person's Facebook page appears, that person has blocked you. If you receive a Facebook error, the account is deleted.

You will need time and money to accomplish this. If you’re expecting to be able to do it for free, then it is still possible, but it is ridiculously unlikely that you can accomplish it in the time frame laid out.

1. Create a new (temporary) page.
2. This step is all on how to create the new temporary page, do not get bogged down here. Click on the gear in the upper right corner, then click Create Page. Create any kind of page, very basic, you will just delete it in a few minutes anyway. Choose a category, name, check the box, click Get Started. Type a description for your page. Click Save Info. Skip the next 3 steps. Go to Edit Page, Update Page Info, Facebook Web Address
3. Put in any username and save. (The username can be a bunch of random letters.)
4. Again, Go to Edit Page, Update Page Info, Facebook Web Address
5. Put your current username for your personal profile there (the username you are trying to change). It will ask you if you want to TRANSFER USERNAME, click yes.
6. Go back to your personal profile and click the gear, then Account Settings, General Account Settings, Username. You will now be able to change your username!!!

If you build a Facebook Page, will fans come? This is the great hope for many businesses. However, fans do not magically appear from the Facebook mist.
People must be lured to your fan page. And there are some good and bad ways to go about doing this. In this article, I’ll share a big myth and 21 ways to drive more fans to your Facebook fan page. The Big Myth
There’s a great myth that once you create a Facebook fan page for your business, the first thing you should do to get fans is invite ALL your friends from your personal profile using the “Suggest to Friends” feature.

Unfortunately, this strategy may not be that effective and can, in fact, often backfire. I have seen many industry gurus complain that when they decline a fan page request, it’s frustrating to continue to be asked again and again.
There are several reasons not to use the Suggest to Friends feature:
Facebook users can only like up to 500 pages and may wish to be selective. (Though I have seen it’s possible to go over this limit).
Fan page suggestions may often build up, unnoticed. (At last count, I have 593 overlooked fan page suggestions and am already a fan of 500!)
To aggressively pursue all your friends to join your fan page – for no apparent incentive – is counterintuitive to the nature of socialmedia.

Check your internet connection

We recommend using the strongest internet connection available, whether that’s wireless (Wifi) or wired (using an ethernet cable).

Try browsing Pinterest in incognito/private mode: Browsing in private mode turns off your extensions, and doesn’t use the same cache or cookies as your regular browsing. Learn more about browsing in private in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer. If browsing in private mode fixed your problem, you’ll want to clear your cache and cookies or try disabling your extensions until you find the culprit.
Turn off your extensions and add-ons: Ad-blocking and anti-tracking extensions (like Adblock or Ghostery) often conflict with Pinterest. Try disabling those extensions and see if that fixes the problem.

Facebook decided a while back to make Messenger its own standalone app. The Facebook Messenger app doesn't have a log out button like the original Facebook app though, which irritates a number of users. There are two methods of logging out of Facebook Messenger on Android: clear Messenger's app data in your device Settings, or log out of the Messenger session from your Facebook app.
Clear Messenger app data in Settings
To log out of Facebook Messenger, you need to go into the Settings of your Android device.
Close the app if you have it open, and get rid of it from your recent apps list, otherwise this trick won’t work.
In Settings, scroll down to the Apps or Application Manager, and scroll down until you see Messenger.
Tap on this, and Clear data.

Now when you go back to tap on Messenger in your app drawer, you should see that it won't log you in automatically.
Pro tip: If someone else wants to use your phone to check their Facebook messages while you're still logged in, they just need to tap Switch Account to sign into their own account.Settings > Apps > Messenger > Storage > Clear data / © AndroidPIT

Facebook has plenty of security options in place to protect its users, but what happens if they forget their password?
Hackers can gain access to your Facebook account through correctly guessing your password, so it is recommended to change it regularly.

If you have recently changed it and can’t remember its, or you have forgotten a previous Facebook password, here is how to change it and log back in.
How to log into Facebook
It is likely you are one of the hundreds of millions of people whohavea Facebook account to connect with friends online.

If you are trying to login to your account, go tohttps://facebook.comto bring up the login page.
Ensure that no one else is currently logged into Facebook on your computer before entering your email address and password into the login boxes in the top right-hand section of the tab.
If someone is logged in, simply click at the top right of the Facebook page and select log out to sign the person out.

How do you reset your Facebook password?
If you have forgotten your Facebook password, you can get a reclamation email sent to you in order to rest your password and log back in.
When you are on the Facebook login page, click on the ‘Forgotten account?’ button underneath the email and password boxes.

You will then be taken to a page with a box called Find Your Account, where you can enter either your username, phone number, email or full name into the text box.
You will then be given a list of accounts that match the search connected to whatever you typed in. Find your account and click ‘This is my account’.

Once you have selected your account, you will be asked how you wish to reset your password, either through email to the account connected to the Facebook profile, or a text to the associated number.

Once you have followed all instructions in this box you will be sent a security code either through email or text that will reset your password.
If you already know your password but simply want to change it while you’re logged in, head over to the Settings tab on your Facebook account.

I am developing a Facebook canvas appliaction, and I am trying to do the following, which is standard in many applications.
User arrives on my application page.
If he has not granted the necessary permissions, he is redirected to a page where he can (optionally authenticate) and accept the permissions, and
finally redirected back to my facebook application page.

As far as I understand, this is achieved by redirecting the user to the OAuth dialog, onhttp://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth/? scope=PERMISSIONS& client_id=CLIENT_ID& redirect_uri=MY_CANVAS_URL& response_type=token

The problem is that Facebook will not allow a redirect from inside an iframe, for security reasons. It only allows redirects to what I declare as site URL on the application settings page. In my case I have set that to the URL of the application on Facebook, since that is what I put as redirect_uri (and it works).

So, instead of being able to see the authentication dialog, the user is presented only a link to it. A kind of workaround is to issue the redirect with javascript, by manually settings top.location. But this is not a real solution, since part of the site already shows before Javascript redirects, and I get an annoying flicker.

actually the first one did work. But if same friend visits my profile again, the id no get slightly changed in the end...

Don't about this. Someone who I used to talk to a lot and whose profile I visited frequently was at the top of my InitialFriendsChatList. We had a falling out and stopped talking and he moved down to about 4th place. That's where he was all last week (and the week before that and probably for some time before that, as well). I have not chatted with him or visited his profile even once, but I do have reason to believe that he may have visited mine. Today, he is suddenly in the first position again. He didn't get there because of anything I did, that's for sure.
Still i dont understand who visited my FB account!


My main concern is, HOW do I clean out my fb page? & I don't want TRASHY ppl popping up on my screen. I have my church friends on my fb pg. I don't want or need TRASH on my pg. I also don't need unnessary prophanity on my pg either. & IF I cannot get my fb pg cleaned out, HOW can I get a NEW fb account set up & NOT have my NEW pg to freeze up like the one I have now?


You still don't understand facebook. Only YOU can see your newsfeed not friends family and fellow church goers. If you do not wish to see friends updates that they place on their own wall then go to their profile and 'unfollow' them. easy as.
