Facebook Website Log in
Wondering how you can target your website visitors more effectively on Facebook?
When you let visitors log into your site with their Facebook profile, you can collect their
demographic attributes and other characteristics.

Facebook Website Log in
In this article, you’ll discover how to add Facebook Login to your website.
How to Use Facebook Login on Your Website by Peter Szanto on Social Media Examiner.

#1: Choose Which Data to Collect

Allow website visitors to register with Facebook Login.
Although it may be tempting to collect as much information as you can from visitors’ Facebook profiles, asking for permissions is a double-edged sword. Each data field you request is likely to decrease the opt-in rate.

So focus on the data that will be most helpful to your business and only ask permission to access this information. Here are some permissions that could be useful:

Email:
If you collect visitors’ email addresses with Facebook, you can avoid misspellings or obtaining that special email address people use only for registrations. Plus, you’ll collect valid, working emails that will match with custom audience uploads to social ad networks, like Facebook Ads or Google Ad Words.

Public Profile
With access to visitors’ public profiles, you’ll collect visitors’ names, the languages they speak, their age group, and gender. Among other things, you can use this information to create more effective and personal marketing messages.
Decide what information you want to collect from visitors’ Facebook profiles.

Likes let you learn about your visitors’ interests and preferences, allowing you to provide a much better experience for them. For instance, if you’re an ecommerce site, you could use this information to recommend products your visitors would like or offer suggestions based on their favorite activities.

With this permission, you can find out which of a visitor’s Facebook friends have registered at your site. This will help provide social proofand improve your recommendation engine.
Tip: If you call your visitors’ attention to the advantages of social login and clearly explain how their data will be used, they’ll be more likely to grant you the necessary permissions.

#2: Set Up Your Login App
After you decide which permissions you want to request from your visitors, you’ll need to build a Facebook application that can handle them. Fortunately, it’s not as complicated as it might sound.

To get started, you’ll need to create a developers account on Facebook. To do this, navigate to developers.facebook.com and log in with your Facebook credentials. Then click Create App in the upper-right corner.

Click Create App after logging into your Facebook developers account.
In the pop-up window, type in a name for your app and choose the category that best describes your website.

Fill in the details for your new Facebook app.

After you’ve successfully created your app (and gotten past the captcha), click the Get Started button for Facebook Login.

Click Get Started next to Facebook Login.
Next click Settings > Basic in the left sidebar.
Go to Settings > Basic in your Facebook developers dashboard.
Then add a link to the privacy policy and the terms of use on your website, and check your contact email.

Add a link to your website privacy policy and terms of use.
Click on +Add Platform and select the Website option.
Select Website as your Facebook app platform.
Add the URL of your site. Make sure you use the correct form of the URL(for example, https://mydomain.com); otherwise, the integration won’t work.

Add the URL for your website.
At this point, you can go ahead and publish your app. Don’t be concerned that no one will find your app at this point. You can publish it in the App Review menu (under Settings).
#3: Submit Your Login App for Review

The next step is to add extra permissions (development and app review as well).
If your app asks for permission from website visitors to access information other than their email address, friend list, and public profile info, you’ll need approval from Facebook before you can start using the app.

Here’s how to ask for permission to access user likes. First, navigate to App Review on your dashboard and click Start a Submission.
Under App Review, click Start a Submission.
Scroll down and select the user_likes option and click Add 1 Item.

Select which items you want to include in your Facebook app submission.
To get access to the likes, you’ll need to provide a step-by-step description of the login process on your website. Facebook’s evelopers Guide details everything you need to know about its requirements.

You’ll also need to explain what you’ll use the likes for. To do this, click the Edit Notes link.
Click Edit Notes under Current Submission.

Now provide a brief description of how your app will work.
Explain how you’ll use the Facebook likes data you collect.
For example, here’s one way you might explain how you’ll use likes for website personalization:
We need access to a person’s list of interests to create a personalized experience by surfacing content related to a person’s social profile.

Using permissions will allow us to visibly change the structure of the website and prioritize content based on the user’s interests.

In addition to this description, you could provide the URL of the site to show your app in action and explain how it will change after visitors use the Login button.
You can also attach a video about the login process on your site. In your video, record and narrate at least the following events on your site:
How a person logs in with Facebook. Explain the placement of the Login button and how it works.
How a person sees this permission used in your app. For example, illustrate how user likes could modify the content of the website

how to search on Facebook by photo

and fb log in, how to search on Facebook by photo     No comments

How to search on Facebook by photo
How to search on Facebook by photo
Did you have picture of someone and want to know more about them? Maybe you'd like to know their name, birth date, email address, where they work, or if they're single.
Using the method described below, you may be able to find their Facebook profile, and if they've made the information you want public, you'll find the answers you're looking for.
Is this creepy? Only if you're a creep.
Ways to Find a Person Via Their Photo
The hard way: Locate the number Facebook uses to identify the photo and try to search Facebook for it (see instructions below).
The easiest way: Use Google Images to find all the places where that photo is used online (see video and text tutorials below). Google Images will also find photos that are like the one you uploaded.
Use Tineye to do a reverse image search. (Upload or paste the photo's URL.) Tineye will only return results for the exact same image.

Using a Photo to Find a Person's Profile on Facebook
First step is to took at the file name of the picture. On most web browsers, you can right-click the photo and select View Photo or View Image.
Find the file name. It might end with .jpg or .png and if it's from Facebook, it will have "fb" somewhere towards the beginning.
See how the file has three sets of numbers separated by underbars (_) or periods? Locate the middle number. For example, you might see a URL that includes something that looks like this:
fbid=65602964473589&set=a.101484896592068.2345.10000116735844&type
Locate is the middle number. In the example above, I'm calling "101484896592068" the middle number. This number is the profile ID from a Facebook user's profile. In this example the number is 15 digits long, but yours might be longer or shorter. It shouldn't have a decimal, though.
Copy and paste the following into your web browser's address bar: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=
At the end, without a space, copy the profile ID number you found: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101484896592068
Go to the address and you should see the profile of the Facebook user from the picture!

This method only works if they have a public Facebook account and the photo you have is one they've posted on Facebook. If their photos are private, then it won't work.

How Can I Get Phone Number From Facebook

Facebook really wants your phone number, nagging you for one as soon as you join. This isn't all bad since it can help secure your account with two-factor authentication. On the flipside, this makes it easy to reveal the private phone numbers of virtually anyone on Facebook, including celebrities and politicians. We're going to look at how a hacker would do this and how to protect yourself.

Many Facebook users may not even realize that their private phone number is connected to their Facebook account, having forgotten that they did so. Facebook isn't allowed to simply extract your number from your phone, but they can do what I refer to as the "app equivalent of cyberbullying" by repeatedly asking you to confirm and save your number each time you launch Facebook.

The default privacy setting on Facebook allows anyone to search for you by your phone number once you add it. This is not a new issue. It has been around as long as the Facebook Graph search, but Facebook chooses to see this issue as a feature, as a letter received by Belgian researcher Inti De Ceukelaire shows.

Certainly, some people, such as celebrities and politicians, should be more concerned than others about revealing their private number online. However, anyone could potentially have a cyberstalker or hacker target them. Once a hacker has a phone number and your name, they can quickly use open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools that we've covered on Null Byte to grab further public data like occupation, employer, spouse, relationship, any other public info.

A hacker could use the information to further social-engineering attacks by calling you directly. Think of the classic " Microsoft tech support" scam, only the caller trying to trick you knows your name and intimate details of your personal life. Armed with these, it's easy to make the target think the caller is legitimate.

How would a hacker actually go about finding your number? In theory, if they had a lot of time, they could just search all 9,999,999,999 potential numbers until they stumbled upon yours. Clearly, this isn't very efficient, so let's see the right way of doing it. For a practice subject, I'll be using DC Mayor Muriel Bowser (2017) as a random city official. In the examples below, her number was changed to protect her real number.

Step 1Use the Area Code
If you think of a target's phone number as one of all the possible 10-digit US phone numbers, you can quickly see that 10 billion North American phone numbers it far too large a list to effectively search through. Luckily for the hacker, he can cut this down thanks to the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) which lays out the guidelines for phone numbers in the US.

Let's take an example: 234-235-5678. Looking at the NANP, we can see that the first three numbers (234) are the area code, and the plan allows for 2–9 as the first digit and 0-9 for the second and third digits. That information right there eliminates one billion possible numbers from the hacker's list.

The hacker can also quickly take advantage of this if they know or can take an educated guess at where you live, as it's as easy a Google search. By doing this, the hacker can remove a further 9 billion 990 million numbers from the list of potential guesses.

The next three numbers after the area code in our example (235) are the central office prefix. Again, the plan calls for 2–9 for the first digit and 0–9 for both the second and third digits, but with a caveat.

In area codes where the second digit is 1, the third can't also be 1. This yet again removes a large number of phone numbers from the hacker's list. The last four digits of the phone number is the line number, in this case, 5678.

Updates to Facebook Login
Facebook Login gives you a fast and easy way to sign in to your favorite apps. You can skip entering in long registration forms on mobile and the need to remember yet another username and password by logging in through Facebook with a few simple taps.

People sign in to their favorite apps using Facebook Login more than 850 million times a month*. As of this month, 81 of the top 100 grossing iOS apps and 62 of the top 100 grossing Android apps in the U.S. use Facebook Login**.
Although Facebook Login is widely used, we understand people’s concerns about apps posting on their Timeline or to their friends. For the past several months, we’ve been rolling out a new version of Facebook Login on mobile to address these concerns.

With this new update, mobile apps using Facebook Login must now separately ask you for permission to post back to Facebook:

If you want to share later, you still can.

In addition to separating sharing requests, we’ve also made Facebook Login load up to 31% faster on mobile***. Our goal is to get you to connect with your favorite apps as quickly and easily as possible.

Facebook Login Mobile Site

Facebook Mobile Site m.facebook.com
Facebook Login Mobile Site

Facebook has released a new design of its mobile site m.facebook.com, most notably moving notifications, requests, and birthdays above the news feed. The relatively low-bandwidth interface is part of Facebook’s multi-pronged mobile strategy designed to ensure users have access to the service regardless of their handset or the strength of their data connection. M.facebook.com fits between more data intensive mobile applications like Facebook for iPhone and mobile site touch.facebook.com, and the minimal-bandwidth interface 0.facebook.com.

When users visit m.facebook.com they’ll see a trimmed down version of the status publisher above the new notifications, birthdays and requests panel. From here users can respond to friend requests, see that day’s birthdays, and click through links to view all of their latest notifications or their pending event invitations and other requests. This change refocuses the mobile interface on viewing and responding to the actions of others over creating new content.
Below notifications users will see Top News or Most Recent views of their news feed. Options to view only status updates or photos have been relocated behind the See More Stories button at the bottom of the Most Recent feed. There users will also find options to view feeds of only Link, Note, or Event stories — options not available on Facebook.com. Comment and like buttons are now in-line with news feed story timestamps, giving a more streamlined look with less empty white space. At the bottom of the feed is a People You May Know panel similar to the one seen in the right sidebar of the web version of Facebook.com’s home page.

At the bottom of the home page, the Bookmarks panel has been split with Notifications, My Pages, Events, and Photos remaining above the fold; and Links, Notes, Groups, and SMS hidden behind a More button.

This redesign is primarily aesthetic, and doesn’t give m.facebook.com users Places functionality like touch.facebook.com and Facebook for iPhone have. Though some traffic comes from m.facebook.com being used to direct people to download their handset specific Facebook app, m.facebook.com had almost 10 million daily active users and almost 50 million monthly active users by mid August. Keeping this user base engaged through redesigns is important as Facebook waits for them to have access to more full-featured apps and interfaces which increase overall usage.

How To Log Yourself Out Of Facebook On Other Devices And Improve Your Security
For many Facebook users, it’s good to occasionally brush up on your security knowledge and see if there’s a better way you could be doing things. Despite Facebook’s tendency to expose your information as publicly as possible, they do take your login security seriously – and you should too. Do you know how to log out of Facebook remotely? Have you authenticated certain devices with Facebook so that you can be notified if someone tries to log in on another device?

These are things you can easily set up and which will help you to maintain control over your Facebook security. If you haven’t yet done so, take five minutes to read this guide and improve your security on Facebook now.
Accessing Your Facebook Security Section

All of the security tools are easily located within the Facebook Security section. Go to the arrow on the top right of Facebook, choose “Account Settings” and then “Security”.

Remotely Log Out Of Facebook

In the Facebook Security section, you’ll see a section called “Active Sessions”. Clicking on that will show you all the places you are currently logged into Facebook. You should see your current session, followed by any other devices which are logged in as you. This could include your mobile, tablet or work computer.

For instance, if you’re at home and you can see you’re still logged in at work, you can click on “End Activity” to ensure none of your co-workers do anything silly or sly with your account. Other useful scenarios could involve leaving yourself logged in at a friend’s house or on a public computer.

The same goes for any device you don’t recognise, as it could be someone accessing your account. Just click “End Activity” and it will log you out from that device. If you accidentally log out your own phone or tablet it’s no big deal to log in again from the device when you’re ready to use it again.
Set Your Recognised Devices

Facebook allows you to register your usual computers and devices so that it knows that it’s quite likely to be you logged in from that machine. It also allows you to approve or get notified if anyone logs in using any other device. To set up your recognised devices, you need to activate “Login Approvals” and add your devices. After a few devices are added, you can disable it if you prefer. See the next section for details.

Approve Logins From Unknown devices

To set up approvals for unknown device Logins, you will first need to ensure you have registered a mobile phone with Facebook. Then go to the “Login Approvals” section in the Facebook Security, check the box and save. A code will be sent to your phone for verification.

If your current computer isn’t registered yet Facebook will ask you to give it a name. Facebook will also give you the option to install a code generator on your smart phone to approve logins that way. It’s not required that you do this – it’s just another option you can use.

It’s a good idea to open a browser on your smart phone or tablet straight away and get those smaller devices registered.

Get Notifications About Logins From Unknown Devices

It’s possible for you to get a notification whenever someone logs into your account from an unknown device. This is a little less secure than the option requiring approval. In Facebook security, go to “Login Notifications” and check the box for email or text notifications as you wish to set this up. Note, you’ll need to give Facebook your phone number and authenticate it if you want text notifications. This is under Account Settings > Mobile.

How Do I Close My Facebook Account Without a Password?

You need access to your Facebook account in order to deactivate or permanently delete it. If you forgot your login password, Facebook offers several recovery methods aimed at resetting your password and regaining access to your account. Once in, you can close your account temporarily or permanently.

Recovering Your Password

Clicking the "Forgot Your Password" link on Facebook's home screen presents several recovery options. The simplest method is to reset the password using your email address. If you don't have access to that email account anymore, you can choose to answer security questions or have trusted contacts get your security code for you.

Deactivating Your Account

Once in your account, click the gear icon, select "Settings," click "Security," and then choose "Deactivate Your Account." However, this is only a temporary solution; the next time you log in to your account, it becomes active again. To permanently close your account, visit the Delete My Account page (link in Resources) and request permanent deletion.

How To Log Yourself Out Of Facebook On Other Devices And Improve Your Security [Weekly Facebook Tips]

What To Do If Someone Is Accessing Your Facebook Account

If you use these methods and see that someone is using your Facebook account, you can quickly view the active sessions and “End Activity” for anything suspicious. Then, immediately change your password for Facebook.

I don't know that you really want to; Google and Facebook don't play nicely together. For that same reason, I don't know that you can.

Facebook requires an email address. You can use your gmail address to log into Facebook, but that's not really what you're asking.

You can set the same password for both, but the passwords won't stay in sync if you change one of them.

But for Google to offer a “login with Facebook” option, they'd need to partner with Facebook. Google and Facebook see themselves as competitors (even if you and I don't view them that way), and so they tend not to partner with each other.

Why do they see themselves as competitors? For one, their headquarters are geographically close to each other and I'm sure they steal talent from each other all the time. Second, Google wants to be a social network (hence, Google Plus), and Facebook has announced plans to be a search engine (although a different type of search engine with a social component). And you can use either company’ s productd to send messages to your friends (posts, IM, email).

More fundamentally, Google ( which also owns YouTube) and Facebook (which also owns Instagram) both want you to spend all your free time on their sites. Bottom line - they are competing for your attention. And that competition is pretty intense. You should feel special :-)

This link will be helpful for you

That's an easy answer: you can't. They are different companies.

Both Google and Facebook however due to very real significance for most of their users, may be effectively “good enough external user-authentication” to also “log you into” many other sites.

This is a minor point of grammar but a common mistake (as in your question) in use of the Internet:

login - (noun) a term used loosely/variably to mean either user credentials (username and password combination), or a web page/control to facilitate logging in. Also written log-in.

log in - (verb) to provide user authentication credentials in order to gain secure access as an authorized user of a computer system.

So to login is incorrect. To log into or to log in to is the correct verbform of expression.

To enable this feature you need to link your Facebook to your Gmail account first. Just go to yourFacebook account settings, select Gmail in the LinkedAccounts section, and that's it.Log in to your Gmail accountthen go to http://facebook.com.

Is the Facebook app installed in your phone? as per my experience, Here are few solutions -

1) If yes, then you should log out that user from the app cause if the app is installed in phone then the facebook unity sdk gets the current logged in user credentials from the app. So,logout from the app and then try again. 2) If you are not using the app then check that the same facebook account in logged into your browsers facebook. And try logout from there and login from the app again. 3) if you have enabled cookies, logging, status true in the facebook init method in your script or in the editor setting then try to set those to false. (maybe this could be an issue)

Social banking: Would you log into your accounts via Facebook?
Consumers want their banks’ websites to be easy to use, despite fears of a security trade-off. Felicity Hannah asks if social media link-ups are the way forward or “the last nail in the privacy coffin”
We need a new way to log into sensitive online accounts because what we’re doing just now is not working. Whether we’re banking, checking the balance on a peer-to-peer loan, or paying a credit card bill, the plethora of passwords, passcodes and security questions to keep our details safe are rich pickings for fraudsters.

But all too often the carefully engineered security systems fall victim to a very human error: the inability to remember more than one password. The credit checking agency Experian has warned that many bank customers use the same password for online shopping accounts, social media and other services, meaning that a criminal hacking into one of the weaker accounts would then have access to a wide range of data and information. There’s been a recent surge in current account fraud thanks to people using the same passwords for all their online services.

And yet there’s also increasing demand for a smooth, easy-to-use customer experience, one that is at odds with the need for several layers of security when accessing financial services online.

And now it’s been suggested that, instead of being part of the problem, social media like Facebook could be the solution.

Social safety

There’s a growing idea that the web would be a safer place if users had one online identity that they used to verify themselves across a range of services. And few online footprints are as rich and detailed as people’s social media accounts, like Facebook for instance.

Rob Sobers, director at data protection firm Varonis, explains: “Using a single social ID to access to other applications and conduct secure transactions eliminates the problem of storing passwords and other personal information with dozens, if not hundreds, of sites and services. If one of those sites is breached, my password would remain safe.

Android: View Full Version Of Facebook
Today, I was asked a question about using the Facebook For Android app to update a Facebook brand page for which you are an admin. You can’t access many of the features on Facebook with the Android app. When you visit Facebook in a web browser, it will show you the mobile version of the site. However, there are some steps you can take to access the full version of the web site on any mobile device.
Option 1 – Direct Link Trick
Login to your Facebook account using the mobile version of the website.
Now type “http://www.facebook.com/home.php” in your browser.
The full desktop version of Facebook should display in the browser.
Option 2 – Browser Setting
Android browsers like Chrome have an option to view the desktop version of the page built in. In Chrome, you can select the “Menu” button located at the upper-right corner, then choose “Request Desktop Site“.

I set up my RealTimes account using Facebook login, but now I'd rather use my email address instead. How do I do that?

You can go into the RealTimes Account Settings page on our website at https://realtimes.real.com/myaccount. (If you are not already signed in, you will need to sign in using your Facebook account credentials.)

First, create a password for your account. Then you should see the option to Disconnectyour Facebook account from RealTimes. After that, you will be able to sign in using your email address and the account password you created.
