Short answer: Both are same
Facebook has given the name Facebook Connect to its technology that is being used by website for providing its users to login with Facebook. This technology also enables websites to get addition data about user and communication with them after getting additional explicit permissions.

Facebook Connect was the original name we used for the part of Facebook platform that enables developers to integrate Facebook with apps and sites outside of facebook.com. It was also the name we asked developers to use for the Facebook login button. After a couple of years, we decided to retire the name and just refer the technology as Facebook platform and generally recommend developers to use "login with Facebook" as the name for the login button. However, as with many name changes, the term Facebook Connect is still used by many people today :-).
