Remotely Log Out Of Facebook
In the Facebook Security section, you’ll see a section called “Active Sessions”. Clicking on that will show you all the places you are currently logged into Facebook. If your current computer isn’t registered yet Facebook will ask you to give it a name. Facebook will also give you the option to install a code generator on your smart phone to approve logins that way. It’s not required that you do this – it’s just another option you can use.

It’s a good idea to open a browser on your smart phone or tablet straight away and get those smaller devices registered.

Get Notifications About Logins From Unknown Devices

It’s possible for you to get a notification whenever someone logs into your account from an unknown device. This is a little less secure than the option requiring approval. In Facebook security, go to “Login Notifications” and check the box for email or text notifications as you wish to set this up. Note, you’ll need to give Facebook your phone number and authenticate it if you want text notifications. This is under Account Settings > Mobile.

Facebook decided a while back to make Messenger its own standalone app. The Facebook Messenger app doesn't have a log out button like the original Facebook app though, which irritates a number of users. In this article, we'll show you how to log out of Messenger on Android and iOS from your phone or PC.

How to log out of Facebook Messenger on Android

There are two methods of logging out of Facebook Messenger on Android: clear Messenger's app data in your device Settings, or log out of the Messenger session from your Facebook app.
Clear Messenger app data in Settings

To log out of Facebook Messenger, you need to go into the Settings of your Android device.
Close the app if you have it open, and get rid of it from your recent apps list, otherwise this trick won’t work.
In Settings, scroll down to the Apps or Application Manager, and scroll down until you see Messenger.
Tap on this, and Clear data.

Now when you go back to tap on Messenger in your app drawer, you should see that it won't log you in automatically.

If you've got Messenger on your phone, chances are good that you've got the Facebook app as well. From the Android Facebook app, tap the More button on the top right (which should appear as three lines), then go to Account settings, followed by Security and login. You'll see a section called Where you're logged in, then just select the Messenger session and tap Log Out.

Open your Facebook app (not Messenger, but the Facebook iOS app itself), then tap the More button on the bottom right. Scroll down to Settings, tap Account Settings, then Security. In the Security menu, go to Where you're logged in. Once you open it, you can manage all your Facebook account's active sessions across any device, app or browser. Then just close the session listed as "Facebook Messenger on iOS 10" or whichever version of iOS your iPhone is running on. These workaround methods are a bit annoying, but they work. Facebook doesn't seem keen to change the situation to make it any easier. If you are annoyed by Facebook in general, you might want to consider giving it the boot and trying one of these Facebook alternatives.

You can use LoginManager.getInstance().logOut();, even if you use LoginButton because
This UI element wraps functionality available in the LoginManager.
EDIT: Just to mention that this works for Facebook SDK v4. I don't know if they will change it in the future.

That's an easy answer: you can't. They are different companies.
Both Google and Facebook however due to very real significance for most of their users, may be effectively “good enough external user-authentication” to also “log you into” many other sites.

This is a minor point of grammar but a common mistake (as in your question) in use of the Internet:
login - (noun) a term used loosely/variably to mean either user credentials (username and password combination), or a web page/control to facilitate logging in. Also written log-in.

log in - (verb) to provide user authentication credentials in order to gain secure access as an authorized user of a computer system.
So to login is incorrect. To log into or to log in to is the correct verbform of expression.

How to log out user from facebook application, but maintain login from facebook

I have tried the PHP SDK (v.3.1.1), and the current Javascript SDK as suggested here : https://developers.facebook.com/docs/guides/web/

now when trying to log out I have tried both FB.logout() ( for js ) and $facebook->getLogoutUrl() ;
as the documentation for both clearly state, these methods log the user out of the application as well as their facebook session.
But I only need to log the user out of the facebook application ( the test site ).

I have tried logging the user out of my test site, ignoring the facebook aspect. But in this case, when the user clicks the login button again, the login flow ( facebook authentication and redirect ) does not happen.

I also tried : ( as suggested by previous unresolved questions)$facebook->destroySession(); unset($_SESSION['fb_' . sfConfig::get('app_fb_config_id') . '_code']); unset($_SESSION['fb_' . sfConfig::get('app_fb_config_id') . '_access_token']); unset($_SESSION['fb_' . sfConfig::get('app_fb_config_id') . '_user_id']);

however, when redirecting to the login page, $facebook->getUser() still retrieves the user.
note : as per documentation example, I am using php sdk to login the user to my test site, and the js sdk, to render and facilitate the facebook login button.

I just added the saving of the user data into the session. Now, if you use this method, when the user get's into your page you should check if he already has a session, if so all is good no need to authenticate him.

When you want to log the user out of your app, but not out of facebook, just destroy that session:session_start(); session_destroy();

That should remove all saved data you have for the user, next time he visits your page you can start fresh with him.
I'm not a php programmer, and all of the php I used here is from my (very) limited knowledge and what I've found around.
