If you have uninstalled the Facebook app, you can actually locate the app on your iCloud. From there, you'll be able to reinstall it.

I do not see Facebook on my new iPhone 6. How do I download it?

Community Answer
Find the app (pre-installed on your phone) called 'App Store', it is mainly blue with white text, and tap on it to open the app. Then click on the 'search' bar and type in 'Facebook'. After a moment some results should come up so scroll through to find Facebook and click on the little button that says 'GET' or 'INSTALL'. It should begin downloading. Once it is downloaded, tap on it to open it.

Question
Why does my iPhone 5C ask for a WiFi connection when installing Facebook?

wikiHow Contributor
Community Answer
In order to install any app, you have to download it first, and to download anything you need an internet connection. You will also need an internet connection to be able to use an app like Facebook, since this is basically an app version of a website. If you don't have a WiFi connection or data on your phone, you can go to a public place that does.Question

Once you've downloaded the Facebook app from the app store, the icon should appear on your phone's home screen.

Question
Can I use a computer to download this application to my phone?

Yes, you can. Open iTunes, go to the App Store, and click the "top free iPhone apps" at the right-hand side. It will be in that list.
Question
How can I put the Facebook icon back on to my phone's desktop?
wikiHow Contributor

How to delete a Facebook account permanently in 3 simple steps
Whether you’re concerned about your online privacy or just getting tired of constant status updates from old school friends that you’ve since realised aren’t actually that cool, there are plenty of reasons why you might want to delete your Facebook account – and it’s not as hard as you might think.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of how to delete Facebook step-by-step, including outlining the difference between ‘deactivating’ your account, and deleting it entirely.
If you’re thinking about deleting your account then you’re not alone. Between the Cambridge Analtyica scandal and increasing worries about the effect social media has on our individual and societal health, people are increasingly turning away from these sites that have come to dominate the internet.
Whatever your reason, deleting or deactivating your account is actually pretty easy. Here’s how you do it.
How to delete or deactivate a Facebook account – what’s the difference?
There are two different ways to get your Facebook account offline. The first is deactivating, which means:

How to block messages from friends on Facebook
But deleting your account is a much more serious matter. If you delete your account:
Facebook delays deletion for a few days after the request is made. If you log in during the grace period, the deletion is cancelled
You can’t regain access to your Facebook account once it’s deleted
It can take up to 90 days for your data that’s stored in backup systems to be deleted. However, your info isn’t accessible on Facebook during this time
Some things aren’t stored in your account, like messages that you’ve sent to friends – these will remain active
Copies of some material (like log records) may remain in Facebook’s database, but are “disassociated from personal identifiers,” according to the company

Basically, deactivating is a way to cool off from Facebook for a while, while deleting is a permanent solution that you should think carefully about before choosing.

How to delete Facebook account
Deleting your Facebook account is a serious decision, so make sure it’s something you really want to do. Whether you like it or not, social media is ingrained in society, and your Facebook profile can affect friendships, job prospects, and social opportunities. Remember that there are also ways to secure your Facebook privacy settings., if that’s your particular concern.

Plus, you may miss out on some ‘dank memes’ by deleting Facebook, and however grating it is in places, it’s also useful for plenty of things, such as keeping up with friends from abroad and organising events.

If you’re set on binning the social network off for good, click the following link and choose the ‘Delete my account’ option:
Delete my Facebook page
Before deleting your account, it may be worth downloading your Facebook data. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Click the account menu down arrow at the top right of any Facebook page in your web browser
2. Click ‘Download a copy of your Facebook data’ at the bottom of your General Account Settings
3. Choose ‘Start My Archive’

The file that begins downloading will contain your Facebook profile information, so be very careful about where you keep it.

just to let u guys know..it actually shows how many times u visit that person based on the most recent + most frequent

actually i cannot understand why is there no FF or chrome extension for that
How many people are see my profile picture?
Sorry to disappoint some of you, but the "initialchatfriendslist" does not show friends who are viewing your profile, rather the frequency of friends who are on chat or messenger (cellphone).

initial chat friends list doesn't show any thing,,i always have top in my list a friend with whom i have never ever chatted or viewed his profile,,and one of my friend daily checks my profile about 100 times but his profile is in last number in initial chat friends list

i just wanna note that idk what you may have done wrong in your "testing" of the InitialChatFriendsList thing but you did do something wrong. The first few people on my list were neither people i've messaged, commented with, or shared any form of contact with at all. So after reading this article i found that interesting so i messaged those few people and started talking to them and come to find out they were all looking through my profile after some post i made about my dad who passed. So i don't believe it shows who's been viewing your profile the most but that it shows a basic order of who's been on your profile last.

To get back on Pinterest, just reset your password. Or, if your account’s connected to Google or Facebook and you’ve logged in that way before, log in with Google or Facebook
If your account’s suspended, you’ll see an error message when you try to log in. It may be because you did something that went against our Acceptable Use Policy.
We have policies and tools in place to keep Pinterest a safe and trustworthy site. Sometimes we make mistakes though, so if you think we shouldn’t have suspended your account, get in touch with us.
Make sure to check out our content policies to see what's allowed on Pinterest.
If you're having trouble logging in with Facebook or Google+, there are a few things you can try.
Check that your Facebookvlogin credentials stored in iOS are correct - on your iPad, go to Settings >> Facebook and tap your username to view your login information
Make sure that Facebook has access to Pinterest - on your iPad, go to Settings >> Privacy >> Facebook and toggle the Pinterestsetting to Yes
If you're using Google+, make sure that you're signed into Google+ using your mobile web browser
Try logging in with your email and password - you can request a password reset if you can't remember it
You can still log in with your old email if you remember your password. Try logging in by typing in your old email address and possible passwords your might have used. Or if you're connected to Facebook, just log in with those.
Once you log in, you can update your email address in settings.
If you don't have access to your email address, unfortunately we can't reset your password since we can't confirm it's your account. The best thing to do in this case is to create a new account. You can save stuff from your old account to your new account and follow people you were following before.

Create Facebook Gif

Create Facebook Gif

How to Create Animated GIFs For Your Facebook PostsFacebook has been experimenting with allowing animated gifs on their site for quite some time. Early reports of embedded gif functionality started in the early days of 2015, and various workarounds have existed before even then. These days, gifs are integrated in the Facebook Chat and Facebook Messenger program, with a variety of “gif keyboards” or gif libraries accessible and searchable by keyword.
Posting a Gif on Facebook

The primary way to post a gif on Facebook is to use the website Giphy. Giphy is one of the premier go-to image hosts on the web, specializing entirely in animated gifs.
Step 1: Create an animated gif. I’ll cover this in greater detail shortly.

Step 2: Upload the gif to Giphy. You can do this by going to the Giphy upload page and dragging and dropping a gif file, or clicking to browse to upload it, or pasting in a URL of the gif hosted on another site.
Step 3: Go to the gif’s page. Here’s an example gif:
On that page, you will see two tabs below the gif; “share” and “advanced.” You can click the Facebook icon on the Share tab to share the gif embedded in a Facebook post, and it will pop up a window that looks like this:
You can write whatever you want as your post, set your privacy settings, location, and emotion as you desire, and post it to Facebook.

If you would rather do this all manually on Facebook itself – and not have the “via Giphy” at the bottom of the post – you can click on the advanced tab. You will see three options; the Giphy link, the HTML5 link, and the download link. Copy the HTML5 link and paste it in Facebook’s post composer. It will load a preview of the gif, which will look something like this:

You can click the gif to remove the big circled “gif” and play a preview. You can then customize the post and post it when it fits what you’re going for.
The pictures above are for a personal profile, but it works the same way for using a business Page, you just have additional options in the post publishing button, like scheduling, backdating, or saving the post as a draft.

Interestingly, Facebook doesn’t animate gifs when you upload them directly to Facebook, they are simply added to an album. The only time they actually animate is when they’re selected as a profile picture. Animated profile pictures are neat, for personal profiles, but they’re not a great idea for your brand, at least not yet. Rather than standing out as unique, they might come across as obnoxious, if they even work for brand pages. I legitimately don’t know if they do or not. I haven’t seen one, but that doesn’t mean much.

Also, Facebook doesn’t generate an animated preview of a gif hosted on the other big image hosting site, Imgur. I believe this has something to do with the way Imgur compresses their images. Gifs uploaded to their site are actually converted into Gifv/Webm format, which Facebook doesn’t parse and preview. You’ll have to use Giphy if you want the animated preview.
So, that’s posting the gif, and that’s the easy part. The hard part is getting a gif you want to use. I’ve found that there are four main ways of doing it.

What to follow on Facebook

Everyone likes to gripe about Edgerank (myself included at times). But let's face it -- it's here to stay.
So if we want to see more posts flowing through our News Feed, we need to find other ways to open up the spigot.
How do you get a more dynamic and vibrant News Feed full of diverse and ever-changing information?
Turns out it's easier than you think. :)
Enter Facebook Interest Lists
quietly launched "Interest Lists" about a year ago -- around the same time Timeline launched.

Before that, lists were mostly used for organizing friends. The new Lists let users include people (including non-friends) and pages.
Keep in mind that once you follow a List, you only see a summary of the List's recent posts in your main News Feed. To get the most out of the List, you need to visit it directly -- by clicking the List's bookmark in your left Facebook navigation.
Edgerank bypassed!
But here's the kicker... ready for it? There is NO Edgerank algorithm applied to Lists!!
Yes you read that correctly.

And the cool thing is the creator of the List gets to decide:
which pages and people are included
what types of posts are shown
For example, on the Lists I created, I set them up to show only status, links, photos and videos -- normal posts, basically. I excluded all the other stuff -- like milestones, birthdays, liked pages, etc.
I've done my best to show you a broad array of Lists from different people. But you'll notice many names repeated -- typically Facebook employees who've created Lists for users.

Social Media Lists on Facebook
I start with the niche I talk about the most: Social Media. If you're in this niche or want to learn how to use social media for your business, follow these Lists!
1. Social Media Resources

by Scott Ayres (me). This is my go-to resource for social media related news. You'll find Mari Smith, Social Media Examiner, Jon Loomer and more. If you're into Social Media, this List is a must.
2. Facebook Experts
by Mari Smith. Mari's List is full of experts and pages focused mainly on Facebook. One of my favorites on the list is Amy Porterfield. Mari's List has almost 30,000 followers to date!
3. Facebook Designers

by Chris Kalani. Created by a Facebook employee, this List includes people who work at Facebook in the design department.
4. Social Media Savvy (and fun!)
by Scott Kleinberg. Another great List of social media related people. But not your typical big names.
5. 100 People to Follow on Facebook
by Mari Smith. Mari created this great List of great people to follow on Facebook -- folks like Rosh Khan and Casey Zeman to name a few.

Facebook people you may know List

account without password, Facebook people you may know List     No comments

Facebook people you may know List

Facebook people you may know List

Facebook's "People You May Know" feature is creepy as hell
Is there a bigger misnomer in tech than Facebook's "People You May Know"?
A more accurate name would probably be "acquaintances from high school you don't talk to anymore." Even a simple "WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!" would be fitting.
Or maybe we should just call a spade a spade and label "People You May Know" what it really is: the perfect microcosm of everything that's wrong with Facebook.
For the uninitiated, "People You May Know" is exactly what it sounds like: a Facebook tool that surfaces the profiles of other users the platform thinks you may have a connection with. The tool is available in two places — in a widget nestled in the middle of your news feed and in a subsection of your friends tab — meaning that wherever you see your friends, Facebook is there to nudge you with reminders of other people you can also add to your network.

But the question that remains is: What info is Facebook looking at to come up with those recommendations?
According to Facebook's help page, the suggestions come from some pretty common, surface-level data like mutual friends and school networks. Here's the full list:

A few people who I went on dates with over the years (no mutual connections, but I have their numbers in my phone, so sure)
My co-worker's dad (only one mutual connection. Also WHAT THE HELL, FACEBOOK, NOW I CREEPILY KNOW INFORMATION ABOUT MY COLLEAGUES DAD. WHO ASKED FOR THIS?!)

People who I follow on Instagram, who don't follow me back and we've never met in real life (no mutual connections)
The inverse of the above point: People who follow me on Instagram, but I don't follow back and we've never met (no mutual connections)
People who I have no mutual friends with and who have curiously incomplete profiles (i.e. no mutual contacts or shared groups/networks, based on the person's public information)

Of course, it's impossible to come to any type of definitive conclusions about the feature based on this type of anecdotal information, so Mashable reached out to Facebook to ask if the help page description "People You May Know" is still accurate and if the tool uses any other data to make suggestions beyond what's listed in the help page.

In response to our inquiry, a Facebook spokesperson said, "Confirming that the help center content is accurate and reflects the most common types of information that inform suggestions."

That phrase "most common types" seems to be doing a lot of work here in that it signals that other, less common types of data are also at play. However, Facebook didn't respond to the two follow-up emails asking to clarify about other potential data sources like Instagram and phone contacts.
All of which is to say, there seems to be more than just "suggesting people in your network" factored into Facebook's "People You May Know" suggestions.
But what's actually going on here? Users may never know. The algorithm that governs the feature is a black box, a secret that Facebook holds onto tightly. Trying to crack the code yourself will just result in headaches and more questions.

Take for instance those suggestions that seem to be from your phone contacts. On first glance, it seems like Facebook is simply pulling contacts from your phone without your permission.
However, there a few things that may be happening here.
First, Facebook has a feature that allows users to automatically upload contact info from their phone to Facebook.
Image: Facebook

When I checked my Facebook app settings, because I, too, seem to be getting suggestions based on phone contacts, the feature was turned off. I then checked to see the list of contacts imported through Facebook (you can check here) and it said that there were no imported contacts and no invites sent.

I checked Messenger, and sure enough, the feature was enabled. And then I checked to see if contacts were imported from Messenger aaaannnddd... BINGO!
