How to hide mutual friends on Facebook

How are people able to hide their mutual friends on Facebook? What is the way?
Directly Saying, there’s no such option to hide mutual friends. But, you can use this process to hide mutual friends from your Facebook account.
Step 1: Set your Facebook Friend List Privacy Settings to Only Me
Step 2: Now, check your Facebook profile. Consult the friend that is showing as a mutual friend on your Facebook Profile, to set their Facebook Friend List Privacy Settings to Only me also.
Step 3: Once it done, none will see mutual friends of yours.

So that’s it! To see your Facebook profile as a visitor, go to your profile then click on 3-dotted icon > View As.
For detailed instruction: How to Hide Mutual Friends on Facebook | Bnewtech.com
I was looking for the same answer once I realized this.
Now, this is going to be confusing but I’ll try to simplify it for you as much as possible.
So, I have a friend named Brian. Brian and I both have our friend lists private.
When I see Brian on my friend list he has 50 mutual friends with me. BUT when I go to his friend list to check the mutual friends, only 20 friends come up.

NOTE that I can see there are 50 mutual friends but I can’t see their names when I click on it.
Now, the 20 mutual friends he shares with me, all of them DO NOT have their friend list private. These peoples’s friend lists are set to either public or friends, I can’t tell.
So, the other 30 people on his friend list all have their friend lists on private.

Steve, our other friend (whom we know to be friends with both of us) also has his friend list set to private. So, when I check for Steve’s name on the mutual friends’ list on Brian’s page, he doesn’t come up. Similarly when I check Steve’s mutual friend list, Brian doesn’t come up.

Now that you've got the steps down, let's get into some tips and tricks.
14 Tips & Tricks for Getting the Most Out of Facebook Live

There are a lot of little things you can do to squeeze the most out of your Facebook Live videos. Below is an example of one of the earliest Facebook Live videos from Refinery29. This was the first video of a five-part live video series called "Chasing Daylight," showcasing a typical night out for women in five different cities around the world. My colleague, HubSpot Marketing Manager Lindsay Kolowich, tracked this one down, and we refer to it in some of the tips below.

Warning: Some NSFW language.
1) Test out live video using the "Only Me" privacy setting.
If you want to play around with live broadcasting without actually sharing it with anyone else, you can change the privacy setting so you're the only one who can see it -- just like with any other Facebook post.
To switch the privacy setting to "Only Me," follow steps 1–4 in the instructions above.
2) Space out live videos with other Facebook posts.

Because Facebook ranks Live videos higher than other videos and other types of posts, we recommend spacing out your Facebook Live videos with other Facebook content you post to maximize your organic reach.
3) Keep reintroducing yourself.

When you first start the video, take a minute to introduce yourself and what the video's about. But keep in mind that when you first start live streaming, you may have zero people watching. Even a few seconds in, you could only have a handful of viewers. As people find your video on their News Feeds, they'll join in -- but that means you'll want to reintroduce yourself a second, third, and even a fourth time to catch people up.

For example, in the Refinery29 video above, the host Lucie Fink introduces herself three times in the first few minutes, and several more times after that.
One second in:

"Hello, Facebook Live! Hey! Lucie Fink here. I don't know if we have anyone on the broadcast yet, so I'm going to wait about one minute to see who joins us."
One minute in:
"Hello to the 309 viewers in here right now. I'm Lucie Fink from Refinery29. Just to recap what's happening right now, this is Episode One of Refinery29's new global initiative, 'Chasing Daylight.'"
A few minutes in:

"Just to give a quick recap on who I am, in case you guys don't know -- I'm Lucie Fink. I work at Refinery 29. Today, I'm doing this whole new series, and this is essentially giving you guys a glimpse into the lives of women all over the world."
15 minutes in:
"So now that we have 3.5 thousand people in this broadcast, let me just start from the top because some of you might not know what is happening. I'm Lucie Fink from Refinery29, and you might know me from some videos, you might not. Either way, it is nice to meet you. Today, we are starting a new video series on Refinery's Facebook Live platform. It's called 'Chasing Daylight,' and it's gonna be on every night this week."

How to download fb videos in android Iphone
Tap the menu option (represented by the hamburger icon located at the bottom of the screen from the home feed tab on iOS and at the top of the screen on Android).

Scroll down and tap Settings > Account Settings.
Tap Security and Login.
Under the section labeled Where You're Logged In, you'll see a list of all the devices and their locations where Facebook remembers you're login details. Your device name (such as iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.) will be listed in bold wording with the Messenger platform labeled beneath it.

If you don't see your device name with the Messenger label beneath it right away, you may need to tap See More to reveal more devices and platforms where you're logged in.
Tap the three dots to the left of the device + Messenger listing and select Log Out. The listing will disappear from the list of places where you're logged in and you'll be able to open the Messenger app to confirm that your account has been disconnected/logged out.

Log Out from Messenger on Your iOS or Android Device from Facebook.com
If you don't want to go through the hassle of downloading the Facebook app to your device because you don't have it installed already, you can simply log into Facebook.com from a web browser and disconnect your account from Messenger this way. The steps are very similar to doing it via the Facebook mobile app.
Visit Facebook.com in a web browser and sign into the corresponding account that you want to disconnect from Messenger.

Click the down arrow in the top right corner of the page and select Settings from the dropdown menu.
Click Security and Login from the sidebar menu.

What happens when you deactivate Facebook
What happens if I deactivate my Facebook account?
Vex Vane, Author/Writer at Self-published Author (1984-present) ·
You are supposed to disappear from search.

In reality, that does not happen, and large number of things on deactivated account are still accessible.

To really remove Facebook account you’ll have to deactivate, wait 14 days, then have them permanently remove it. Otherwise only thing you did by deactivating is removed your own ability to access your account quickly.

When you deactivate your account, Facebook saves all of your settings, photos, and information in case you decide to reactivate your account. Your information isn't gone—it's just hidden. However, it is possible to delete your account permanently with no option for recovery.

It's literally suspensed. The only way to make it available again is when the user logs again, re activating the account.

Your profile will disappear temporarily until you reactivate it. Mainly, none of your friends will be able to message you or anyone send you a friend request.

You can reactivate your account by logging in with your email andpassword. Your profile will be restored in its entirety.

How to search for pictures on Facebook

Craigslist Job Site, How To Search For Pictures On Facebook     No comments

How to search for pictures on Facebook

How to search for pictures on Facebook
Did you have picture of someone and want to know more about them? Maybe you'd like to know their name, birth date, email address, where they work, or if they're single.

Using the method described below, you may be able to find their Facebook profile, and if they've made the information you want public, you'll find the answers you're looking for.

Is this creepy? Only if you're a creep.
Ways to Find a Person Via Their Photo
The hard way: Locate the number Facebook uses to identify the photo and try to search Facebook for it (see instructions below).
The easiest way: Use Google Images to find all the places where that photo is used online (see video and text tutorials below). Google Images will also find photos that are like the one you uploaded.
Use Tineye to do a reverse image search. (Upload or paste the photo's URL.) Tineye will only return results for the exact same image.

Using a Photo to Find a Person's Profile on Facebook
First step is to took at the file name of the picture. On most web browsers, you can right-click the photo and select View Photo or View Image.
Find the file name. It might end with .jpg or .png and if it's from Facebook, it will have "fb" somewhere towards the beginning.
See how the file has three sets of numbers separated by underbars (_) or periods? Locate the middle number. For example, you might see a URL that includes something that looks like this:
fbid=65602964473589&set=a.101484896592068.2345.10000116735844&type
Locate is the middle number. In the example above, I'm calling "101484896592068" the middle number. This number is the profile ID from a Facebook user's profile. In this example the number is 15 digits long, but yours might be longer or shorter. It shouldn't have a decimal, though.
Copy and paste the following into your web browser's address bar: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=
At the end, without a space, copy the profile ID number you found: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101484896592068
Go to the address and you should see the profile of the Facebook user from the picture!

Now you try. You have a photo with these numbers: 49231_618193578354315_9532_n.jpg. Can you find the profile on Facebook?
This method only works if they have a public Facebook account and the photo you have is one they've posted on Facebook. If their photos are private, then it won't work.

Using Google Images to Find Someone
Go to Google Images.
In the search bar, on the left, you'll see a little camera icon. When you touch it, a drop-down menu should say "Search by Image." Click that.
You should see two choices: Paste the URL of the image or Upload. Choose one.
a. If you already downloaded and have the photo on your computer, then choose "upload" and then browse your computer to find the image. After you upload, Google will search all its pages for a match.
b. If you are using a photo you found online, then right click that image. Several options will drop down: Choose "Copy Image Location," then go back to Google Images and paste that in the search bar.
Hit "Search" and you should see a list of all the pages where that photo appears. Scroll down and see if any of the sites give you more information about the person.

My account is not opening on Facebook
I know that Facebook's technical help (at least from what I hear) is remarkably unhelpful...but this may be a question better directed at them.

Are you getting any error messages? Any prompts about security, or asking you to confirm your account, or anything? What happens when you try to log in?

Are you getting any error messages? Any prompts about security, or asking you to confirm your account, or anything? What happens when you try to log in?Thank you for the reply. No, i did't get any error message and it shows "block your account". But i don't know the exact reason to block my page.
I tried to reach the facebook help centre, but they didn't response my query.

The reason may be-
1. You have sent too much friend request frequently.
2. You have shared something which is almost copied - paste.
3. You could had invited your friends continually to like any pages.
4. Or you were logging in from different different devices.

I cant add my friend on Facebook

Craigslist Job Site, I Cant Add My Friend On Facebook     No comments

I cant add my friend on Facebook
I cant add my friend on Facebook
“Well, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your account at all! In general, any online account, such as a bank, shopping, can be customized through settings. Facebook is no different and allows one to change their profile settings as per one’s preferences. Hence the appearance of the button depends on the profile settings and the limitations of Facebook.
The known possibilities for the button’s disappearance are:

• The profile has changed settings such that people can't add them as a friend. The only way to connect is to ask them to add you if they know you.
• When you don’t have any friend in common, the button will not appear. You have to add a friend who already exists in their friend list to be able to send a request to them. You might also want to know how to hack facebook account.

• Facebook limits the amount of friends per profile can have. Therefore, if their profile exceeds this limitation any more friend requests cannot be accepted. And, they cannot send a friend request to you as well; to do that, they will have to remove some people from their existing friend list.
• Facebook has “spam” feature that avoids unknown people from sending friend requests again and again. In this case, only they are able to send a friend request to you and unless they un-spam your profile you would not be able to send a friend request.”

Source: Why didn't the "Add Friend" button on Facebook profile page appear?
Aditya Ulman, Senior Software Engineer, Coder, self-taught Artist, singer, Fitness enthusiast ·
There are 4 possibilities:
1) The person has changed his settings (Account settings) such that nobody can send a friend request, but that person can send to others.

2) That person has exceeded the amount of friends and therefore cannot accept any more friend requests. (In this case, even they cannot send a friend request to you - to do that, they will have to remove some people from the existing list)

3) Facebook has inserted another feature, to avoid unknown people from sending friend requests again and again. If you have sent a friend request to them once (and if they rejected and marked you as "spam"), then you would not be able to send a friend request to them again, however they are able to send a friend request to you.

4) You don't have any mutual friends, in that case you will not be provided with the add friend option. In such cases, you will be able to message them.

Now, technically, gifs fall under all of the same rules as images in terms of usage rights and copyright restrictions. The creator of the gif owns the gif, assuming they created the content. The thing is, most of the time, when you’re finding a gif for use on Facebook, it’s going to be a meme, and most memes are screen captures of TV shows, movies, or other such content. In those cases, the original owner of the gif is actually the producer of the TV show or movie, and the gif itself is a fair use capture of a portion of the content. You won’t get in trouble unless you somehow make a gif version of an entire move – which has been done – and that’s not plausible to use on Facebook.

So, where can you find gifs? You use a gif search engine, of course. Here are four options I like.
Giphy. In addition to being a gif host, Giphy is also a gif search engine. Gifs are tagged by uploaders with hashtags relevant to the gif, and you can search through those tags. It’s a little fickle, though. As you can see with my test search – the Secret of Kells movie – a lot of gifs simply have “secret” as a tag that comes up. Unlike most search engines, Giphy doesn’t respect quotation marks, so you can’t search for whole phrases and exclude other content.
Gifme.io. This is a smaller gif library, sort of like a discount Giphy. As such, it won’t find nearly as many results – and in fact finds nothing for my test query – but it does find some interesting and unique results. It also sources from all over the web, and shows you content from Imgur, Tumblr,

Amazon web services, gfycat, and a whole host of other sites.
Gfycat. Speaking of Gfycat, it’s one of the other top options I like. It’s all user-created as well, but it has a lot more in the way of tags, including a lot of Tumblr-like commentary tags. It also respects phrases much more completely, so my test query shows a ton of relevant results and very few extraneous results.
Google. Yes, you can use Google specifically to find animated gifs.Plug in your query, go to image results, and click “tools” off to the side. Under tools, click “type” and select animated. This filters your results to only show you animated gifs relevant to your query. You can impose other filters and use all of the standard Google search operators here as well.

In order to use a gif on Facebook, simply follow the process above to upload it to Giphy and post it in your composer. One thing to note: if you’re not certain about the usage rights of the image, make sure it’s something you can get away with using! You don’t want someone to issue a takedown because of a goofy animated gif, right?
The Easy Way: Using a Web Gif Creator

What happens if you know what you want, but you can’t find a gif of that exact moment to use? Well, that’s where you need to make it yourself. You will need a source, generally a video clip on YouTube or hosted on your local computer. To continue using the example I’ve been running with, we’ll use this video as a source.

The two main options I like to use are Giphy – again – and Makeagif.com. For Giphy, hit the “create” button in blue up at the top. For makeagif.com, click the “youtube to gif” tab. For both, paste in the YouTube URL.

The Facebook real-name policy controversy refers to the controversy over social networking site Facebook's "real-name system" dictating how people register their accounts and configure their user profiles. The controversy stems from a policy that those who have been adversely affected describe as penalizing users who are in fact using their real names which Facebook has nevertheless deemed to be "fake", while simultaneously allowing anyone to create fake yet plausible-sounding names, as well as obviously implausible-sounding names comprising word combinations that Facebook's software fails to recognize as unlikely to be real because their alleged nonstandard spelling or confusion with fictional characters.

Facebook furthermore prohibits users from accurately representing names which according to the site have "too many words", and prohibits initializing first names, preventing users who do so in real life from formatting their own names as they see fit.

The social networking website Facebook has maintained the real-name system policy for user profiles. According to Facebook, the real-name policy stems from the position "that way, you always know who you're connecting with. This helps keep our community safe." Likewise per this policy, a "real name" is defined by "your real name as it would be listed on your credit card, driver's license or student ID." In August 2012, Facebook estimated that more than 83 million Facebook accounts are fake accounts.

As a result of this revelation, the share price of Facebook dropped below $20.Facebook has asserted that "authentic identity is important to the Facebook experience, and our goal is that every account on Facebook should represent a real person."

Ethnic groups[
Native Americans[

Native Americans have been repeatedly targeted due to Facebook's policy.
Robin Kills The Enemy, a resident of the Sioux Rosebud reservation in South Dakota, found that when she tried to register her surname in its normal format, the site would not let her use them, so she resorted to combining the three words, spelling them as one word. After having been a member for some time, she eventually contacted the site in an attempt to have her surname spelled as it actually is in real life.

However, after reaching out to Facebook, they instead deactivated her account without explanation. When she was finally able to make contact with an actual employee, they wrote back telling her "Fake names are a violation of our Terms of Use. Facebook requires users to provide their full first and last names". She eventually managed to have her account reinstated; however, users with the surname Kills The Enemy are, as of 2015, still required by Facebook to spell their surname without spaces as a single word.

Shane Creepingbear, an Oklahoman member of the Kiowa tribe, reported that he had been "kicked off" of Facebook on Columbus Day for having a supposedly fake name.
Lance Brown Eyes, an Oglala, found that his account had been suspended; when he was able to send in documentation to Facebook proving his identity, Facebook reinstated his account, but changed his name to "Lance Brown".

Dana Lone Hill, a member of the Lakota tribe who had been a registered Facebook user for several years, discovered one day that she had been locked out of her account. A message from Facebook said "it looks like the name on your Facebook account may not be your authentic name". After a week, during which she had to send in her personal documentation to Facebook, her account access was restored. She has since threatened a class-action lawsuit on behalf of Native Americans against Facebook due to how it exercises its name policies.

Craigslist Job Site

Finding a Job Using Craigslist
Craig's List (officially, craigslist.org) is an enormous, widely-distributed, mostly-free online classifieds site, one of the most popular websites in the world.

Craigslist offers two important advantages for job seekers:
If you are looking for a job with a small local employer, craigslist is often a gold mine because it is very visible but also inexpensive for small employers to use to post their opportunities.
Craigslist offers a wide range of jobs beyond the typical professional office jobs that dominate most job boards, including construction, retail, transportation, and more.

Relentlessly organized by location, craigslist offers all of the traditional classified ad sections plus quite a bit more. The locations covered include the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, China, India, Japan, the Philippines, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and more!

Each craigslist site has the same "look" and organization - but not content - as all the others, with many categories of classified ads, including jobs and gigs (projects), as well as events, housing, and things for sale.Advertisement
2 Important Cautions

Like all job boards and websites, you need to be cautious and careful in choosing and responding to job postings on craigslist, too.

Craigslist is different from most sites you have used in looking for a job because the cost of posting a job is very low ($7 to $75, depending on location). This is very inexpensive in comparison with most job boards. As with most things on the Internet, there can also be a downside which you need to keep in mind when doing an online job search:
1.) Watch out for scams.

The craigslist people work hard to minimize the scams posted, and visitors can "flag" postings that they think are inappropriate by clicking on the "prohibited" box at the top of the posting. However, since posting an entry is low cost, scammers, scammer wannabe's, and just plain inept people do abuse it. So, be careful. To help their visitors, craigslist has a section called "avoiding scams and fraud." Be sure to read it! Also flag any job you think may be a scam
2.) Protect your privacy and your current job if you post your resume.

There is a category where people can post their resumes. Those postings will be visible to anyone who visits the site, so limit the contact information and details that you include. Anyone, including your current boss, can view your resume on craigslist if you post it there. Craigslist for Job Search

When care is taken, craigslist can be extremely useful for job hunting.
Finding the "Right" Craigslist

To find the craigslist for your state or town, or where you want to live, go to craigslist, click on your continent (craigslist is in MANY countries!), and select the location you want from the map. craigslist also provides a list of links on the right side of the home page of every craigslist location. Just click on the appropriate location link from those listed.

The home page for every craigslist location will look like all the other craigslist home pages except there will be a different name in the heading at the top of the page (and maybe a different language, depending on your choices). If you pick a state in the USA with several local craigslists, you will get a page that offers you a choice of towns and cities in that state.Advertisement

The listings are organized by category, in reverse chronological order which means that the newest ones are at the top. So, today's postings are at the top (with the newest postings at the very top), yesterday's postings will be next, and on down to the oldest at the end. So, you can pick a category and/or a sub-category to see the listings.
Listings may be miss-categoriezed by the people who post them, so focusing on a sub-category can be a mistake if something you want is listed in a sub-category you don't check. The search function is a BIG help overcoming that problem (more below).

How to post jobs on Craigslist: A guide for employers
Craigslist is a classified ads website, operating in over 70 countries. Starting life as an events email list in 1995, the site now has over 20 billion page views, and 80 million new advertisements each month. While it covers everything from properties to rent and gigs to attend, Craigslist is also a great place for employers to post a job for free. This tutorial will give step-by-step guidance on how to post jobs on Craigslist.

Posting a job to Craigslist is free for most employers; selected areas charge a fee between $7-75. With a paid posting account you also get the benefit of:
Tools for managing your post
Multi-user access for a single account
Pre-purchased Craigslist job postings
Invoicing and online payment

Get in touch with Craigslist to find out if you’ll need to pay to post a job ad in your area.

How to post free or paid job listings on Craigslist:
Setting up an account with Craigslist

If you’re posting a free job on Craigslist, you can jump right in; there’s no need to set up an account. If you’d like the option to save your drafts, edit, delete or re-advertise a free job post, then an account will be useful. Setting up your free account is easy, simply enter your email address and a password, and verify your email address.

Read why savvy recruiters use free job posting sites.

To apply for a paid posting account with Craigslist, you’ll need a basic free account first. Complete the online application form and once your account has been approved, a member of the Craigslist accounting staff will take payment for paid postings within 1-7 business days. You can pay for posts with a credit card, by post or with a check.
How to post a job on Craigslist for free:
1. Choose the right location

Craigslist is a global network. Before you begin, make sure your location is correct; you’ll find it at the top right of the page. To change it, choose a new location from the directory of Craigslist sites.

Once your location is correct, select ‘post to classifieds’ in the top left corner of the home page.

2. Select the job’s category

On the following screen, pick ‘job offered’. Then choose the job’s category from the list e.g. ‘accounting/finance’.
3. Start building your job ad

Next, enter the job title, specific location and job description. Need some help with the descriptions? Try the job description library for a comprehensive list of job description templates.

4. Add contact details for applicants

Next—assuming you’re not using recruiting software to track applicants (see below)—enter your email address. You’ll see the option to show your real address, or to use the Craigslist mail relay. Mail relay will protect your email address from spam by creating an intermediate email address based on random numbers and letters. Any candidate responses are then delivered to that address and forwarded on to your own email account. It’s recommended to protect your email address on heavily trafficked sites such as this, and so mail relay is an easy, safe option.
5. Complete your ad with useful information

Tick any relevant details regarding telecommuting or contract type and select ‘continue’ at the bottom of the screen. Add any images you need to your Craigslist job posting and select ‘done with images’ or move straight on to review and publish your job listing on Craigslist.

Note: your ad may take approximately half an hour to appear on Craigslist.
Managing applications from Craigslist

When you post a job for free on Craigslist, you’ll usually receive applications via email, potentially using the Craigslist mail relay to protect your account from spam. This means that you’ll need to keep on top of your inbox over the following weeks. Your email will be used to manage day to day communications along with reviewing and replying to candidates, forwarding applications to members of your team and keeping tracking of feedback… And that’s before you’ve started to schedule calls or interviews.

An Applicant Tracking System like Workable will help. Workable is recruiting software, used by teams to help streamline their recruiting; instead of individual applications arriving from Craigslist by email, Workable automatically gathers applications into a searchable candidate database. Every candidate can be screened via a candidate profile and other members of your team can add comments.

Recruiting software will help to centralize your hiring activity. In brief, it’s used to:
Get increased exposure for every job by posting to multiple free and premium sites with one submission
Gather candidates into a searchable, trackable candidate browser
Collect and share team feedback as candidates move through the pipeline
Schedule interviews and evaluate candidates
Gain greater insight into your hiring activity with reports that assemble and analyze your data
Using Workable with Craigslist

If you’re using Workable to gather your candidates from Craigslist, you can still store your candidates in your Workable pipeline for review. Once you’ve used Workable to post the job to your chosen free job sitesor bought any additional premium posts, you’ll see the job mailbox on the Your Network step:Screenshot via Workable

The job mailbox is an email address created specifically for the position. Candidates can email resumes to the job mailbox in following formats: .pdf, .rtf, .odt, .doc & .docx.

Simply copy and paste the job mailbox address into your job description on Craigslist. Workable’s ATS will extract the information from the resumes to create profiles that will be added to the “applied” stage of your pipeline.
