How to Edit ur Name on Facebook. How to Change a Facebook Name to a Nickname
1 Override Facebook Name Change Limits
2 Make Your Business Name Your Facebook Title
3 Change Your Facebook Name to Anything
4 Hide Your Facebook Account Name from Public Search on the Web
Facebook requires users to display their real names on their Facebook accounts. When you use a nickname at the office but your formal name on Facebook, it can be difficult for friends, family, clients and co-workers to identify you on the social network. To update your Facebook name to a nickname, access the account settings. A nickname that is a derivative of your real first or middle name can be added to the First or Middle name fields. For example, if your real name is Michael, you can enter “Mike” in your first name field. To include your real name plus a nickname, enter your nickname in the Alternate Name field. Avoid a nickname or alternate name that violates the Facebook Community Standards. Before updating your account, be sure to read Facebook’s policies for names.
Tips
1.Click or tap the “Gear” button on your Facebook account and then click “Account Settings.”
2.Click “General” in the left navigation pane to bring up the General Account Settings. Click or tap “Edit” in the Name section to display the Name form.
3.Enter your nickname in the preferred field, such as “First” or “Middle” if the nickname is a variation of your real first or last name. For example, if your real first name is Elizabeth, and you prefer “Beth," you can delete your full name in the first field and replace it with "Beth" (without the quotes).
4.Click the “Display as” drop-down list and then click or tap the preferred identity format.
5.Enter the nickname in the “Alternate name” field if preferred. Click or tap the check box to add a tick for “Include this on my timeline” if you want to display the name there in addition to your real name. This area is frequently used by women to list their maiden names, but it is just as useful for listing nicknames.
6.Enter your Facebook password in the “Password” field. Click or tap “Save Changes.” Facebook may take up to 24 hours to confirm the change.
