You don't actually have to post the confession to a friend's timeline! Just click the black button with a down arrow and the confession will be saved to your computer, and then it'll prompt you for your email so that they can send you the code.
Where is the confession for "I'm bothering you with marketing bullshit just so I can get some purples"
I submitted this earlier, but I think the spam filter gobbled mine up. Regardless, upvotes all around!

After a surprise Nigeria visit to meet with techies in Lagos, Mark Zuckerberg took his Africa tour to Kenya this Thursday. There, the Facebook CEO visited the iHub innovation space, reviewed the BRCK mobile Wi-Fi device, had lunch with Kenyan ICT Cabinet Secretary Joseph Mucheru and met with tech leaders Juliana Rotich and Erik Hersman.
Like the Lagos expedition, the trip was unannounced. “Originally, we knew that Facebook’s Ime Archibong was coming in,” said Hersman (a co-founder of iHub), “but we didn’t know about Mark’s visit until the last minute.” Archibong is Facebook’s Strategic Partnerships Director.
Though no formal business commitments are planned on Zuckerberg’s first Kenya visit (something Facebook reps confirmed to TechCrunch), Hersman believes it is likely a precursor.
“Look, these meetings in Nigeria and Kenya, it’s largely PR for everybody right now,” he said. “However, from the interactions I saw…between Facebook’s team and different people within the tech community, I think there’s going to be some real stuff happening soon.”

While Zuckberg’s Nigeria visit was less anticipated — given the country only recently registered in global tech news — his dropping in on Kenya is less of a surprise.
The East African nation of 44 million has become the continent’s unofficial tech capital, dubbed “Silicon Savannah” for its advances in digital finance, tech incubators and local IT innovations such as BRCK and the Ushahidi crowdsourcing platform.

How to track who visited my facebook profile?
Its easy to do. Just follow these steps and you’ll succeed in finding out who visited your Facebook Profile!
Go To Your Facebook timeline-
Right click on your timeline and hit “View page Source”.
Now, you’ll be redirected to a new page with lots codes.
Hold CTRL+F on your keyboard, a text box appears at the right corner, in that box, type- “InitialChatFriendsList” (Don’t include Quotes)
Next to that word, you’ll see a list of numbers, these are the profile ID’s of people who visit your timeline.
Just go to “Log In or Sign Up” and paste the ID number beside it with a “\” . For example, if the ID is abcd, you have to put it as- ABCD - Any Body Can Dance.
The first ID shows the one who visits profile more often while the last ID never visits your profile!

How To Create A Simple Counter Using Javascript, HTML & CSS
So I was a little bored and decided to play around with Javascript. The idea was to create something like the counter on this page using javascript, HTML and a little CSS; using a different layout. I guess it looks nice, right?.
I figured someone might find this useful so I decided to share the snippet here.
The final output is as shown in the image above and increments from the left.
And the snippet in action is available on this JS fiddle.
The HTML
Saved as index.html<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>JS Counter</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css"> </head> <body onload="incrementCount(10)"> <div class="main_container" id="id_main_container"> <div class="container_inner" id="display_div_id"> </div> </div> </body> </html> The CSS

Saved as style.css.main_container { height: 46px; width: auto; padding: 3px; margin: 2px; max-width: 300px; background-color: #555555; align-content: center; } .container_inner { height: auto; border: none; background-color: #555555; max-width: 290px; vertical-align: center; padding-top: 12px; padding-left: 10px; align-content: center; } .num_tiles { width:30px; height: 30px; background-color: #888888; color: #ffffff; font-size: 22px; text-align: center; line-height: 20px; padding: 3px; margin: 1.5px; font-family: verdana; vertical-align: center; }

The Javascript<script> var counter_list = [10,10000,10000]; var str_counter_0 = counter_list[0]; var str_counter_1 = counter_list[1]; var str_counter_2 = counter_list[2]; var display_str = ""; var display_div = document.getElementById("display_div_id"); function incrementCount(current_count){ setInterval(function(){ // clear count while (display_div.hasChildNodes()) { display_div.removeChild(display_div.lastChild); } str_counter_0++; if (str_counter_0 > 99) { str_counter_0 = 10; // reset count str_counter_1++; // increase next count } if(str_counter_1>99999){ str_counter_2++; } display_str = str_counter_2.toString() + str_counter_1.toString() + str_counter_0.toString(); for (var i = 0; i < display_str.length; i++) { var new_span = document.createElement('span'); new_span.className = 'num_tiles'; new_span.innerText = display_str[i]; display_div.appendChild(new_span); } },1000); } </script>

You can play around with the values in the counter_list variable to change the display on the screen.
The time interval set using Javascript's setInterval() function is currently set at 1000 microseconds(1 second), you can also alter this to change the counting interval.
The HTML and JS codes are in the same file such that final index.htmlfile is as shown below.

How to know if someone unfriends you on Facebook
A glimpse of the Who Deleted Me app interface.Who Deleted Me
If you've ever been curious why your Facebook friend count is down, there is now an app that tells you who exactly unfriended you.
The free app for iOS and Android is called Who Deleted Me, and it wasspotted by Rachel Zarrell at BuzzFeed. It also is a browser extension for Google Chrome.

It works by simply saving a copy of your friend list after you first use Who Deleted Me.Who Deleted Me tells you who your missing friends are as well as who recently became your Facebook friend.Who Deleted Me
When you revisit the app or browser extension, it will compare your friend list with the saved version — which unfortunately means you can't see who unfriended you back in 2012.

It provides a list of who stopped being your friend on Facebook as well as any new friends since the last time you were logged on.
Both the app and the browser extension will identify whether you were the one to delete a friend and whether someone merely deactivated their Facebook profile. Here's a mock-up of what the app looks like:The app lets you see who deleted you, who you deleted, and who deactivated their account.Who Deleted Me
The app and website became so popular this week that the website began running slower on Monday and eventually suffered some outages. Who Deleted Me has since said it has updated to bigger servers to cover the increased traffic.

Website outages aren't the only concern for the new app. Back in February, the app's creator, Anthony Kuske, received a notice from the Facebook Team telling him that his app and browser extension were creating a negative user experience:
Still, more than 36,000 people have liked the Who Deleted Me app pageon Facebook, so there's obviously a marketplace for it.
The app is not the first of its kind. A browser extension released last year called Unfriend Notify has roughly the same service, and there is also a Twitter version called WhoUnfollowedMe?.

How to leave Facebook but keep using Messenger
If the Facebook and Cambridge Analytica data breach has worried you, or if you feel like you spend too much time checking the latest status updates on Facebook but regularly use its Messenger app to keep in contact with friends and family, there is a way to wean yourself off one while remaining active on the other.
Instead of deleting your Facebook account altogether, you can also deactivate your account so you can temporarily remove yourself from the site. You won’t appear in search results and your Timeline will disappear, but your information isn’t deleted so you can log back in at any point to resume using it.

Deactivating your account doesn't mean waving goodbye to Messenger, the instant messaging platform that lets you share text messages and make video calls with friends and family individually or in groups.
Here’s how to keep Messenger up and running while giving yourself a well-earned break from Facebook.
Step 1: Download your Facebook data

Start by downloading a copy of your Facebook data. You don’t need to do this, but in the event you decide not to reactivate, you’ve got a permanent copy of all your posts and photos.

Launch Facebook on your PC browser, click the drop-down arrow at the top right and select Settings.

Under General, click ‘Download a copy of your Facebook data.’

Follow the instructions and Facebook will send you an email with a link allowing you to download a copy of your personal archive.
Step 2: Deactivate your Facebook account

Remaining within the General menu, click Manage account. Look for ‘Deactivate your account’ at the bottom and click Deactivate your account.
You may have to enter your password again for security at this point.
To try and make you stay Facebook will offer a solution to each reason. When you are happy click ‘Deactivate’.

[Read more: Facebook privacy – how much information are you giving away?]
To check you've been deactivated properly, ask a friend to search their account for you. If you aren't there or you come up without a cover photo and when they click through and you see the message 'Sorry this content isn't available' you've been successfully deactivated.
3: Using Messenger

Launch Messenger on your phone and you’ll be able to keep using it as normal

This means you can keep using Messenger to chat to your Facebook friends, but you don’t have to use Facebook.
