Both users and pages can run polls on Facebook
Facebook introduced a polls feature Friday that is available to both users and pages.
Users and page administrators can now create two-option polls on iOS, Android and desktop and add photos and GIFs to the posts containing the polls. Here’s how it works:
Go to the status update composer (“What’s on your mind?” for users, “Write something” for page admins).
Select Polls.
Enter the question in the status box section marked “Ask a question,” and fill in the two options for respondents to choose between.
Upload images to add to the post or choose from Facebook’s available GIFs.
Determine the length of the poll—one day, one week or a custom time frame.
Post the poll.
Poll creators and users who voted in polls can track results.
Facebook has experimented with polls in the past, but there has been no one single way for users and pages to conduct them.
Polls were added to Facebook Messenger in September 2016, to Messenger’s M virtual digital assistant in April and to Instagram Stories last month.
Also in October, the social network announced its acquisition of teen-focused social polling app tbh.
