Facebook: Here’s How to Change Who Can Send You Friend Requests
Follow this guide to limit the number of users who can send you Facebook friend requests
Have you ever received a Facebook friend request from someone you didn’t know? Did you know Facebook allows you to change a privacy setting so that only “friends of friends” can send you friend requests, rather than all users? Our guide will show you how to change this setting from within the Facebook mobile application.

Step 1: Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Tap “Privacy Shortcuts.”
Step 3: Tap “Who can contact me?”
Step 4: Tap “Who can send me friend requests?”
Step 5: Tap “Friends of friends” to change your privacy setting so that only friends of your existing Facebook friends can send you friend requests.

Note: You can also change this setting via Facebook’s main Settings menu. To do this, tap on the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen, tap “Settings,” tap “Account Settings,” tap “Privacy” and tap “Who can send you friend requests?” You’ll be taken to the same screen shown above, where you can choose between the “Everyone” and “Friends of friends” options.
