How to get more friend requests in Facebook
I am not into “friending” But I think the logical thing to do is to approach it like a pyramid scheme. You send friend requests to people you know. Then you harvest the names of their friends and send friend requests to them because your original friends are now “mutual friends.” Those who accept your friend requests provide you with a third data base that you can use and so on. don’t forget to periodically revisit all your old friends pages because they are continually friending new people.
I hope you realize that all these “friends” are meaningless. they are not even acquaintances.
I have never sent a friend request to anyone I don’t know. I do accept friend requests from some strangers. I have about a dozen or so of these “friends”. I find it interesting that once I accept a friend request from a stranger they never contact me again. I think they believe that they are impressing others with the number of friends they have but they aren’t because everybody else is engaging in the same meaningless exercise.
Just think how wonderful it would be if everybody kept track of the time they spent friending and spent an equal amount of time volunteering at hospitals, nursing homes, soup kitchens and other humanitarian pursuits. THEN your friending would be meaningful.
One last observation: A million Facebook friends would not equal one real friend.
It depends on your character.. Be yourself out there.. Never try to impress people in the name expressing your thoughts and activities.. When you try to impress others, you fake it.. You can't maintain it all along..
And the most important thing is be polite and approachable in your real life..
Lets put it in terms of numbers. Lets say that you meet two new people everyday (of any gender).. There is every chance that you meet at least one of them in the future. Develop a good human relationship with them in the real life before jumping into social networking with that person.. Eventually they would love to keep in touch for a longer period of time..
