How To Add Poll Options On Facebook
How to Ask a Question on Facebook
You can ask Questions from multiple places on Facebook. You can ask them from the Publisher in your Profile, the Publisher on your Home page, and the Publisher on your Group Home pages. To ask a basic question, follow these steps:
Click the Ask Question link in your Publisher of choice.
This expands the Questions Publisher.
Click into the text box and type your question.
Click Ask Question.
This posts the question to your Wall and your friends’ News Feeds.
Unlike most posts on Facebook, you can’t set privacy on Questions you ask. As your friends answer your Questions, their friends can see it, and their friends can see it, and so on and so on and so on.
Questions with polls can be really useful for making decisions for yourself or for a group of people. Ever tried to get ten people to agree on a dinner location? It can get a bit overwhelming. To create a Question and add a poll, follow these steps:
Click the Ask Question link in your Publisher of choice.
This expands the Questions Publisher
Click into the text box and type your question.

Click Add Poll Options.
This expands the Poll Options boxes.
Type your poll options into the Poll Options boxes.
Facebook auto-completes the box with the names of Pages and Places as you type. This can be a little confusing unless you actually are entering restaurant names, in which case, you’ll probably get a match.
As you add more and more options, more and more boxes appear below it. Just fill out as many boxes as you need.
Decide if other people can add options to your poll.
If that’s okay with you, leave the Allow Anyone to Add Options box selected. Otherwise, deselect it.
Click Post.
This posts the Question to your Wall and your friends’ News Feeds.
Although Questions are publicly visible, you might ask a Question that you are sure that one of your friends knows the answer to. When you’re looking at a Question, there is an Ask Friends button or link next to the name of the person who asked it. Clicking it expands a type of the Friend Selector.
You can choose friends by clicking any part of their name, Profile picture, or the check box next to them. Type names into the search box on top to filter down to just the people you are looking for.
When you’ve selected all the people you want to ask, click Submit. Your friend gets a notification on their Home page letting them know you want them to answer the Question.
