Find out who's IGNORED your Facebook Friend requests with this simple trick
IF YOU suspect that one of your friends might be ignoring your Facebook Friend request, here's a quick trick to find out for sure.

GETTY • FACEBOOKThere is a little-known way to find out if anyone has been ignoring your Facebook Friend requests

If you have been on Facebook for a few years, you might have lost track of who you have – and haven't – requested as a friend.

And there's also a very good chance you can't remember who accepted your friend requests.

But there is a quick way to find out whether anyone has been ignoring your Facebook Friend requests.

EXPRESS NEWSPAPERSLoad the Friend Request drop-down from the Facebook taskbar

Here's how it works –

1/ Log in to Facebook.com and tap the little Facebook Request icon in the top right-hand of the banner (it's the symbol that looks like two silhouettes).

2/ This will load a drop-down menu populated with all of your recent Friend Requests. From here you can chose to accept or ignore them.

3/ To see the Friend Requests that you've sent, you'll need to hit the See All text at the bottom of the drop-down

4/ This will kick you to a new page on Facebook with the same list of your pending Facebook Friend Requests, or any Friend suggestions thrown-up by Facebook.

EXPRESS NEWSPAPERSAfter you click See All, you'll be thrown to a new page with an option to View Sent Requests

5/ Click the View Sent Requests link that should now be at the top of the page.

6/ There you have it. Facebook should serve you a page with all of the people who have clicked Ignore or even Delete Request over the years, when you've reached out with a social media olive branch of friendship.

EXPRESS NEWSPAPERSAnd if someone has deleted or ignored your Facebook Friend Request, they'll appear in this menu

For some, this revelation could be a little soul-destroying. But for other Facebook users, it could be a brilliant ego-booster.

While you are on Facebook, why not check the frustrating other inbox that the US social website keeps hidden from its users?

It turns out, Facebook has been filtering your messages.

When a Facebook friend sends you a private message on the hugely popular social network, you get a notification in the Messages feed.

The small Messages icon – which sites in the top-right of the toolbar next to the Notifications icon – is highlighted whenever a friend messages you.

Depending on your notification settings, the US social network might also drop you an email or a text message. But what happens when someone who isn't your friend drops you a line?

It turns out, Facebook stays frustratingly quiet.

How Do I See My Friend Requests On Facebook
How to See Who Has Left Your Facebook Friend Request Hanging

While some people send Facebook friend requests to everyone they casually meet during their day, I tend to keep my friend list on the site limited to just people I’m actually friends with. That means I currently have over 242 pending friend requests from people like that guy I met at a wedding 10 years ago, and the girl who I rode the bus with in 7th grade but never spoke to.

Leaving a friend request pending always seemed like the respectful move. I’m not saying no to these people’s friendship, I just haven’t seen the request…in a decade. And they’ll probably never realize I left it there, right? Wrong. If you’re the sender, Buzzfeed pointed out this week that you can actually see who has left you hanging on the site (if it’s me, I’m sorry).

To see what pending friend requests you have, click on the friend icon at the top of your Facebook page (the spot where you accept all those new requests) and then select “Find Friends.”

A page will load with all the people currently waiting to become your friend. At the top, there’s a tiny “View Sent Requests” button. Click that, and you’ll see what requests you’ve sent that haven’t been approved.
For me, it was pretty anticlimactic. I have three pending, one some guy that was part of my lunch crew in 12th grade, whom I arguably would have left hanging as well (touché sir). The other two look like friends who removed their presence entirely from Facebook. That, or I decided to friend two people with no photos and names that appear to just be jumbled letters.

No Friend Request Button On Facebook

No Friend Request Button On Facebook
No Friend Request Button On Facebook

No Add Friend Button but many mutual friends?

An old friend and I have 18 mutual Facebook friends. Until a month ago, I could have sent him a friend request, as the button to add friend wasthere.

Then all of a sudden, the "add friend" button is gone, although there is still a button to send message. I am not blocked from his page, I just can't add as a friend.

How is it possible that the Add Friend option has mysteriously disappeared when we have so many mutual friends on Facebook and the only privacy settings for "who can send you friend requests" are "everyone" and "friends of friends"?

I should add: 3 months ago I sent him a friend request, which he declined at the time, but after that the "add friend" button was still there. I never sent another request. The add friend button has been there all along until, like I said, it just strangely disappeared like literally overnight!

How to Accept a Friend Request on Facebook

How to Accept a Friend Request on Facebook
When you receive a new friend request from Facebook, a little red flag appears over the Friends icon in the big blue bar on top of each page. You may also be notified in your e-mail or on your phone. The number in the red flag indicates how many Friend Requests are waiting for you.

Clicking this icon opens the Friend Requests menu.

To accept the Friend Request, click the Confirm button. You now have a friend. To reject the request, click Not Now.

When you click Not Now, Facebook may ask you whether you know that person outside of Facebook. In other words, is this a Friend Request from someone you know or someone you don’t know?

If you click No — meaning, “I have no idea who this person is” — Facebook prevents that person from friending you again in the future. If you click Yes, meaning “Yes, I know this person but I’m not sure I want him looking at my stuff,” Facebook hides the request. In other words, you can go back to it in the future and confirm it at that time.

To get back to hidden Friend Requests, open the Friend Request menu and click See All at the bottom of the menu. This takes you to a page where all your outstanding requests (including hidden ones) appear. You can then confirm or permanently delete a request.

You can also access hidden requests by going to the Timeline of the person who sent the request. There, the Add Friend button is replaced with a button to accept the Friend Request. Click the button to become official Facebook friends.

Some people worry about clicking that Not Now button. If you’re not sure what you want to do, you can always leave the request untouched. But never hesitate to click Not Now for someone you really just don’t want to be friends with. Facebook won’t notify her that you ignored her request.

How to discover who has ignored your Facebook friend requests
Torture yourself by discovering who hasn’t accepted your Facebook friend request on the world’s biggest social network.

Facebook is a great way of keeping in touch with friends; you can share photos, chat, and keep up to date with each other’s lives – if the person you want to be friends with accepts your friend request, that is.

The reality is, not everyone wants to be your Facebook friend. Everyone uses Facebook differently, some accept friend requests from everyone, others want to keep work and home life separate, while some people just ignore requests altogether.

How to check sent Facebook friend requests

1: Open Facebook on a computer and click the ‘Friend requests’ icon on the top right menu bar.

2: A drop-down box appears - click ‘View all’ at the bottom.

3: Look for and click ‘View Sent Requests’.

4: You’ll see any outgoing friend requests that haven’t been accepted. If you don’t have any, it will say ‘No Sent Friend Requests’.

How to add a friend on Facebook without sending a friend request

This is not possible and even if you could find a workaround, the results would not be good for you or the person you are adding.

First why force someone to be your friend without their knowledge? That is just creepy and strange.

Next, if you found a workaround and they see you listed as a frind and they never added you, your account will likely get suspended for violating Facebook’s terms.

Hit on her at Instagram , make her fall in love with you .

Start living together .

One day when she is sleeping , quietly take her phone , send yourself a friend request from her account and accept .

Yay , Problem solved .

You can either follow them which means you’ll start seeing their content in your feed or you can make them send you friend request. This way if they add you you’ll have a friend without sending the precious friend request.

In order to do this you can use the Facebook Messenger app where you can text people without having them in your friends list.
