How to send notifications on Facebook

As an administrator of your business Facebook page, you can edit the page and post updates. Your page's followers see notifications about this activity, but they receive the notifications from your personal account rather than from the page itself. You can instead send notifications from the company page to strengthen your brand identity and protect your personal privacy. Business notifications also unify the page's layout because your company's logo marks all official posts no matter which administrator makes them.
Log in to Facebook. Click your business page name in the the homepage sidebar to open the business page.
Click the button labeled "Manage" at the top of the screen. Click "Edit Page" from the drop-down menu.

Click "Your Settings" from the Settings sidebar.
Check the box labeled "Always comment and post on your page as..." in the section marked "Posting Preferences."
Click "Save Changes."

How to Change Your Name on Facebook

Whether you’ve just gotten married, no longer identify with your birth name, or just want to change the overly formal “Robert” to “Rob” on your profile, here’s how to change the name you’re using on Facebook.
Before diving in, it’s worth having a look at Facebook’s names policy. You’re required to use “the name [you] go by in everyday life”, but this gives you a fair amount of flexibility. My name on Facebook is Harry and it’s what everyone calls me, but it’s not the name on my birth certificate.
You also can’t use things like:
Symbols, numbers, unusual capitalization, repeating characters or punctuation.
Characters from multiple languages.
Titles of any kind.
Words or phrases in place of a name.
Offensive or suggestive words of any kind.

As long as you don’t use anything too ridiculous, you should be able to change your name to whatever you want without Facebook having a hissy fit. It’s also worth noting, once you’ve changed your name, you won’t be able to change it again for another 60 days.
To change your name on Facebook, head to the Settings screen. You can get to it by clicking on the arrow in the top right corner and then clicking Settings.
Next to Name, click Edit.
You’ll then be able to edit and change your name to whatever you want.
Click Review Changes and then enter your password and click Save Changes.
If you’ve got a nickname, professional name or other name that you don’t necessarily go by in everyday life but want attached to your Facebook profile, click Add Other Names. These other names will help people find you in search, so for example, you’d show up for searches for both your married and maiden names.

…and select the kind of name you want to add from the dropdown.
Enter whatever name you want.
If you check the Show at Top of Profile checkbox, the name you choose will be shown in brackets after your Facebook profile name. For example, with this nickname, my Facebook profile would say Harry Guinness (Hazza).
Click Save Changes and the new name will be added to your Facebook profile.

While some people send Facebook friend requests to everyone they casually meet during their day, I tend to keep my friend list on the site limited to just people I’m actually friends with. That means I currently have over 242 pending friend requests from people like that guy I met at a wedding 10 years ago, and the girl who I rode the bus with in 7th grade but never spoke to.
Leaving a friend request pending always seemed like the respectful move. I’m not saying no to these people’s friendship, I just haven’t seen the request…in a decade. And they’ll probably never realize I left it there, right? Wrong. If you’re the sender, Buzzfeed pointed out this week that you can actually see who has left you hanging on the site (if it’s me, I’m sorry).

To see what pending friend requests you have, click on the friend icon at the top of your Facebook page (the spot where you accept all those new requests) and then select “Find Friends.”

How to find out who has IGNORED your Facebook Friend requests

GETTY • FACEBOOKThere is a little-known way to find out if anyone has been ignoring your Facebook Friend requests

If you have been on Facebook for a few years, you might have lost track of who you have – and haven't – requested as a friend.

And there's also a very good chance you can't remember who accepted your friend requests.

But there is a quick way to find out whether anyone has been ignoring your Facebook Friend requests.

Here's how it works –

1/ Log in to Facebook.com and tap the little Facebook Request icon in the top right-hand of the banner (it's the symbol that looks like two silhouettes).

2/ This will load a drop-down menu populated with all of your recent Friend Requests. From here you can chose to accept or ignore them.

3/ To see the Friend Requests that you've sent, you'll need to hit the See All text at the bottom of the drop-down

4/ This will kick you to a new page on Facebook with the same list of your pending Facebook Friend Requests, or any Friend suggestions thrown-up by Facebook.

5/ Click the View Sent Requests link that should now be at the top of the page.

6/ There you have it. Facebook should serve you a page with all of the people who have clicked Ignore or even Delete Request over the years, when you've reached out with a social media olive branch of friendship.

The small Messages icon – which sites in the top-right of the toolbar next to the Notifications icon – is highlighted whenever a friend messages you.

Depending on your notification settings, the US social network might also drop you an email or a text message. But what happens when someone who isn't your friend drops you a line?

It turns out, Facebook stays frustratingly quiet.

Facebook doesn't send you a notification or email. Instead, the social network simply drops the message into a second inbox, dubbed Other.

Unless you actively search out the latest unread messages on a regular basis, the unread messages will simply sit there in the Other inbox.

The reality is, not everyone wants to be your Facebook friend. Everyone uses Facebook differently, some accept friend requests from everyone, others want to keep work and home life separate, while some people just ignore requests altogether.

You might not know, but you can quickly find out exactly who you have a sent a Facebook friend request to and see any pending requests that the recipient hasn’t responded to.
How to check sent Facebook friend requests

Open Facebook on a computer and click the ‘Friend requests’ icon on the top right menu bar.
A drop-down box appears - click ‘View all’ at the bottom.
Look for and click ‘View Sent Requests’.
You’ll see any outgoing friend requests that haven’t been accepted. If you don’t have any, it will say ‘No Sent Friend Requests’.
Cancel outgoing request by hovering over ‘Friend Request Sent’ and clicking ‘Cancel Request’.

John Smith" is perhaps the most obvious-sounding fake name. By the same token, it's unlikely that a person's driver's license reads "Dudebro McFancybutt69". As a matter of policy (as well as pragmatism), Facebook will not ask you to prove your identity unless it's challenged. If a name sounds like something that would raise your eyebrow if you saw it on an official form of ID, it's probably not a good idea to use it as your Facebook name.
Avoid Behavior That's Likely to Get You Reported for Other Reasons

This is another tactic that may be a little unfair to you. However, if you're trying to avoid detection because of a fake name, it's probably not a good idea to post pictures of pornography or visit every one of your friend's profiles and trash their mother.

That doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be on your best behavior all the time and never do anything controversial. It's more about knowing your audience. If you limit the number of people who can see your profile or posts, and you know that a particular list of people will appreciate your controversial artwork, by all means share it. However, if you have the entire congregation of your church added on Facebook, it may not be prudent to let them see your erotic drawings of the Muppets.

If you've ever sent a friend request on Facebook and been left hanging, there's a way to see who's ignoring you.
You can view your sent requests under the "Find Friends" tab.
You can also take back a friend request this way.

Everyone has a wide range of Facebook friends. Anywhere from your sister, to that girl you graduated with but never really talked to, to the guy you chatted with at the bar last weekend. Sometimes you get a friend request from someone you barely know and think to yourself, "It's weird that they looked me up." Or, "How did they know my last name?" But other times you take the first step and click that "Add Friend" button. (Haven't you always wondered how the ads on your news feed are weirdly accurate? This is how you can turn them off.)

After a couple weeks go by and they still haven't accepted your friend request, you may think it's weird, but typically people just forget that they even sent one in the first place. Now you're probably wondering how many of your friend requests have been left ignored, just floating in cyber space. (By the way, this is what yoursocial media profile says about you.)

Well, it's actually pretty simple to find who's left you hanging. There's also away to see who unfollowed you. Go to the Facebook home screen and click on the friends icon in the upper right hand corner. Then hit "Find Friends." There you will see all of the people waiting for you to accept their friend requests. But, if you hit the tiny "View Sent Requests" button at the top of the page, you can find out who's rejected you.

The list typically tends to be made up of people who don't use their Facebook anymore, or someone you creepily stalked and friend requested way too early on in the relationship and scared off. If you want to cancel your request (not that it matters because they have probably been ignoring you for three years) you can do that by clicking on the "Friend Request Sent" button next to their name. This feature can also be helpful when you're scrolling through your newsfeed on your phone and your thumb slips and hits the "Add Friend" button from someone on your list of suggested friends that you don't even know.

In the long run, you don't really get anything useful out of checking who has digitally rejected you on Facebook. Maybe just a little sad, or an adrenaline boost to call them out on it the next time you cross paths. Either way, it is a pretty interesting feature.
