How to Recover Your Facebook Account When You Can No Longer Log In
Did you forget your password and can no longer log in? Or was your account hacked?
You are not alone! Hundreds of people turn to us with similar questions every day. Fortunately, Facebook offers several automated ways to reclaim your account. Whether you forgot your password or can no longer log in because a hacker changed it, you have several options. We’ll show you how to recover your Facebook account, step-by-step.

Note: This article covers everything I know about Facebook account recovery. Read this article, read the comments, and if you still have questions, leave your own comment and hope for the best. There’s nothing more I know or can do to help.
1. Are You Still Logged In Somewhere?

Before you try to recover your account, check whether you are still logged into Facebook on any of your devices. This could be another browser or browser profile on your computer, your Facebook Android or iOS app, or a mobile browser, for example on your tablet.

If you can access Facebook anywhere, proceed to step 1a of our article on what to do when your Facebook account got hacked.4 Things to Do Immediately When Your Facebook Account Is Hacked 4 Things to Do Immediately When Your Facebook Account Is HackedHaving your Facebook account hacked is a nightmare. A stranger now has access to all your personal information and could harass your friends and followers. Here's what you can do to contain the damage.Read More

Note: If you set up two-factor authentication and have lost access to your Code Generator, here’s how to recover your account.

2. Have You Tried the Default Account Recovery Options Yet?

OK, so you could not find a device where you were still logged into Facebook. Let’s proceed with the recovery then. If possible, use a network or computer from which you’ve logged into your Facebook account before.

First, you need to identify your account. Head to the Facebook recover page and use an email address or phone number you previously added to your Facebook account. Even if it doesn’t say so, you can also use your Facebook username.
Once you successfully managed to identify your account, you will see a summary of your profile. Before you proceed, carefully check whether this really is your account and whether you still have access to the email address(es) or mobile phone number(s) listed.

Should you No longer have access to these? proceed to point 3 of this article.

If all looks well with the contact details that Facebook has on file for you, however, click Continue. Facebook will send you a security code. Retrieve it, enter it, and rejoice in having recovered your account.

If the code never arrives, click Didn’t get a code?, which will take you back to the previous Reset Your Password screen. You can try again or maybe you’ll realize that you don’t have access to the account/s after all.
Back Into Your Account

If you managed to regain access to your account and if you suspect that your account was hacked, immediately change your password (use a strong password!) and update your contact information. These are key steps in securing your Facebook account. Be sure to remove any email addresses or phone numbers that are not your own or that you can no longer access.5 Things You Can Do NOW To Secure Your Facebook Account & Make It Recoverable 5 Things You Can Do NOW To Secure Your Facebook Account & Make It Recoverable To most of us this is the biggest nightmare. We strongly recommend that you enable two-factor authentication, so this won’t happen again.
3. Did Your Contact Information Change?

Often, it’s not possible to recover an account using the options above. Maybe you no longer have access to the email address(es) and phone number(s) you once added to your profile. Or maybe a hacker changed this information. In that case, Facebook allows you to specify a new email address, which they will use to contact you about recovering your account.

To start this process, click the link No longer have access to these? in the bottom left on the reset password page to start the recovery process. Facebook will ask you for a new email address or phone number, so that they can reach out to you if needed. Click Continue to proceed.

If you have set up Trusted Contacts, you will have the chance to use these to recover your account in the next step.

You’ll need to remember at least one full name of your three to five Trusted Contacts to reveal all of them. Note that you only need three codes to recover your account.

If you didn’t set up Trusted Contacts, you might be given the option to answer one of your security questions and reset your password on the spot. As an additional precaution, this comes with a 24 hour waiting period before you can access your account.

Otherwise, you might have to wait until Facebook gets in touch to verify your identity. Be patient!
4. Was Your Account Hacked & Is Sending Out Spam?

In the event that your account was hacked and is posting spam to the walls of your friends while you can no longer access it, you should report your Facebook account as compromised.

This will actually start a similar yet different process as the one outlined above. While you will use the same information to identify your account, in the following step you will be able to use either a current or an old Facebook password to recover your account.

This is useful in case a hacker changed your password, but it may also come in handy in case you forgot your new password.

Find more security-related tips on the Account Security page in the Facebook Help Center.

5. Still Locked Out of Facebook?

If all of the recovery methods above failed, your last hope is Facebook itself. You can try emailing security@facebookmail.com to explain your situation. They might give you a chance to prove your identity using your passport or driver’s license. This can take several weeks, so practice patience.

Note: If you didn’t use your real name on Facebook, your hopes for recovering your account this way are close to zero.
If All Else Fails, Create a New Facebook Profile

Over the past few years, I have received countless comments and messages from people who weren’t able to recover their accounts. Usually, their contact information was outdated, the recovery codes Facebook provided didn’t work, or the company would never reach out to verify their identity. Facebook is notoriously difficult to get a hold of. This sucks. Unfortunately, I couldn’t help either.

At some point, you just have to move on. Part 1Creating Your Account

1 Open the Facebook homepage. You will need to be at least 13 years old to create a Facebook account. Facebook accounts are free, but you can purchase things for your Facebook account. You can only create one Facebook account per email address.

2 Enter in your information. On the Facebook homepage, enter in your first name, last name, email address, password, birthday, and gender. You must use your real name for your account. Nicknames are allowed as long as they are a variation on your real name (Jim instead of James, for example).

3 Click the "Sign Up" button. If all of your information is correct, you will be sent a verification email to the address you provided.

4 Open the verification email. It may take a few minutes for the email to get delivered. Click the link in the email to activate your account.

Part 2 Setting Up Your Profile

1 Add a profile picture. The first thing you should do after creating an account is add a profile picture. This will allow others to quickly see who you are, making conversations between friends and family easier.

2 Add friends. Facebook is nothing if you don't have friends and family to share with. You can search for people by their name or email, import your contact lists, and invite friends that aren't currently using Facebook.
When you find someone that you want to add, you will need to send a friend invite. Once they accept your invitation, that person will be added to your Friends list.

3 Manage your privacy settings. There are countless horror stories of people posting things that they don't want others to see, or losing a job because of something controversial they shared. Take some time to set up your privacy settings to prevent the wrong people from seeing what you post.

Part 3 Using Facebook

1 Share and post. You can post to your own timeline or post to your friends' timelines. You can also share content from elsewhere on the internet, including links, images, and videos.

2 Chat on Facebook. Facebook allows you to chat with anyone on your friends list. If the person you are chatting with is not online, they will receive your message the next time they log in. You can also download the Messenger app for your phone to chat on the go.

3 Upload photos. Facebook allows you to upload your photos to post to your profile and share with friends and family. You can upload single photos or organize your photos into albums. Make sure to not upload anything containing questionable content.

4 Create an event. You can use Facebook to create events and invite people. You can set the date and time, enter a location, make posts for people that will be attending, and invite specific people. Facebook events are quickly becoming one of the main ways that people organize gatherings.

How to open Facebook without a password
Adesanmi Franklyn, MSc from Obafemi Awolowo University (2017)
Answered Nov 21, 2017
Technically there is no way to open Facebook account without password. Don’t be disappointed please... Username and password is the only thing that differentiate your Facebook account from my own Facebook account.

But, if you have created a Facebook account and you want to be logging into the account without typing your Facebook username and password then you only need to save your Facebook password and username on your browser using either Chrome browser, Mozilla Browser, or Opera Browser.
Mostly for PC, this is very easy to do. Visit Log In or Sign Up on PC and Log In or Sign Up on mobile to login to your Facebook. Preferably, use Google Chrome browser for PC or for mobile.
The moment you enter your facebook username and password, Google Chrome password smart lock will pop up asking whether to save the username and password. Click save now so you will be able to login to Facebook next time without password.

For mobile Chrome, you also need to save your password before you can open your facebook account without logging with password and username.
To achieve this, log in to Facebook with your username and password. A new window will pop up then click on save.
Meanwhile, before then click on the 3 dots on your Chrome screen and click settings. Navigate to privacy and enable save passwords.
After that, you will have all your passwords including Facebook password saved on Chrome and you will be able to log into Facebook without typing username and password again.

You see questions can come in several ways, so do the answer.
Technically what you are asking for is “How do you open Facebook without a password?”
So am going to give you a direct and indirect answer
Direct Answer: There are several ways to do that, supposing you are using the Facebook application or lite or whatever browser you are using.
Facebook has this save password option for its user anytime you login, Facebook asks if the current password should be saved for easier access. Lucky for you if you’re using this you can login without inputting your password.
Firefox also offers a master password for all logins on the app, if you’re using it, then lucky for you.

Indirect Answer: Imagine your self having a house without keys, even dog cages have keys. So also will Facebook be insecure without passwords, Facebook even allows for 2-factor authentication since password seems to be failing these days.
To stop beating about the bush if you lost your password, use the forget password button below the login page. The password will be sent to your email or Facebook or friends if you have the feature enabled.

How to Make a Second Facebook Account

Most people have a Facebook account to keep up with friends and family, share photos and post updates about daily happenings. Facebook sets no limit to the number of accounts a person can have, and some people opt to have separate accounts for personal interests, friends, family and coworkers. Because a Facebook account is tied to a unique email address, anyone can start a second account as long as a unique email address is provided. Accounts are completely separate and do not share friends, photos or applications.

Step

Register for a second email address if you have only one. Many free Web-mail services like Gmail (gmail.com) and Hotmail (hotmail.com) will take only a few minutes to sign up.
Step

Go to the Facebook homepage (facebook.com) and fill in the required fields on the sign-up form along the right side of the page. Enter an email address that has not yet been used to register for a previous Facebook account, your first and last name, a password, your gender and your birthdate.

Various Facebook login problem

Like all other websites and social networking sites, facebookthere are many Facebook login problems. These problems may be incorrect password or email address etc.

I have mentioned two most common Facebook problems:-

Incorrect Email address or Passwords

It occurs when then password or email address typed by you has some typo or spelling errors. Delete the email address and type it again because may be due to spelling error Facebook has failed to detect it. Before entering passwords always make sure that caps lock is always turned off. As it is case-sensitive on entering passwords with on caps will be rejected Facebook, and you will be redirected back to the incorrect email address or password page again. For any Facebook login username and password related issue check this official page.

Facebook Email address not valid:

Many times when you try signing up for Facebook using your Google apps account mainly using admin, info or service, you won’t be able to sign up. Facebook doesn’t allow sign up with such generic name. You can create a Google apps address under your name name@domain.com and sign up for Facebook.

Phishing is growing as the most terrible technique to grab passwords and emails. It deals with creating fake login pages and to steal email and passwords of the victim.

To secure yourself from phishing hacking method, you should take following measures.
Don’t click on other website’s Facebook login pages. Always self-entered the URL in the browser and login safely.
If you are redirected from another page to the facebook login then don’t forget to check the URL of the pages, sometimes actual URL may be different from facebook.com (This is not true everytime because a professional phisher also knows to change the URL as well).
Don’t trust anyone. Don’t pass your login details and other passwords to anyone else.
Keep your passwords as long as possible.Use a mixture of letters, numbers as well as symbols in your passwords.

How to Make a New Facebook Account

Two Methods:On MobileOn DesktopCommunity Q&A

This wikiHow teaches you how to create a new Facebook account after signing out of your old one. You can do this on both the desktop and the mobile versions of Facebook. If you want to use the email address that you used for your old Facebook account with your new one, you'll need to delete your account and wait for the account to fully delete before creating your new one.

Method 1On Mobile
1
Open Facebook. Tap the Facebook app icon, which resembles a dark-blue box with a white "f" on it. This will open your News Feed if you're logged in.
If you aren't logged into Facebook, skip ahead to the "Tap Sign Up for Facebook'" step.
2
Tap ☰. It's either in the bottom-right corner of the screen (iPhone) or the top-right corner of the screen.
3
Scroll down and tap Log Out. This is at the bottom of the menu.

4
Tap Sign Up for Facebook. It's a link at the bottom of the screen.

5
Tap Get Started. This blue button is in the middle of the pop-up window.

6
Enter an email address. Tap the "Enter your email address" text field, then type in the email address that you want to use.

7
Tap Continue. It's below the email address text field.

8
Add your first and last name. Tap the "First name" field, type in your first name, then tap the "Last name" field and type in your last name.

9
Tap Continue.

10
Create a password. Tap the "Password" text field, then type in a password that you want to use.

11
Tap Continue.

12
Set your birthday. Select a month, day, and year for your birthday.

13
Tap Continue.

14
Select a gender. Tap either Female or Male. This is the last step in creating your profile; once you select a gender, your profile will be created.
While there isn't an Other or Prefer not to say option, you can hide your selected gender from your profile later if necessary.
If you're prompted for a verification code, open the email address that you used to create your Facebook account, look for the code in the subject line of the email from Facebook, and enter the code on the Facebook prompt.

Method 2On Desktop

1
Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/. This will open your News Feed page if you're logged in.
If you aren't logged into Facebook, skip ahead to the "Enter your first and last name" step.

2
Click
. It's a small triangle in the far-right side of the dark-blue bar that's at the top of the Facebook page. Doing so prompts a drop-down menu.

3
Click Log Out. This option is at the bottom of the drop-down menu. Doing so will log you out of your Facebook account.

4
Enter your first and last name. Type your first name into the "First name" text field in the "Sign Up" section of the page, then type your last name into the "Last name" field here.

5
Add your email address. Type a working email address to which you currently have access into the "Mobile number or email" field, then add the address to the "Re-enter email" field that appears below it.

6
Enter a password. Type the password that you want to use into the "New password" text field.

7
Set your birthday. Click the month drop-down box and select the month of your birth, then repeat this step for the day and year drop-down boxes.

8
Select a gender. Check the "Male" or "Female" box near the bottom of the "Sign Up" section.
Facebook currently does not have an "Other" box, but you can hide your selected gender from your profile later if need be.

9
Click Create Account. It's a green button at the bottom of the "Sign Up" section. This creates your Facebook account, though you'll still need to verify your email address.

10
Open your email account. Go to the inbox for the email address that you used to sign up for Facebook and sign in if needed.

11
Open the email from Facebook. Click the "Welcome to Facebook" email from Facebook in your inbox.

12
Click Get Started. It's a dark-blue button at the bottom of the email. Doing so will verify your email address and open a new tab for Facebook. Your new Facebook account is now live.
You can navigate through the final steps of your account creation (e.g., adding friends) by clicking the white f icon in the top-left corner of the page.
