Unilever (UN) is threatening to pull out of Facebook and Google
Unilever is the world’s second biggest advertiser. And it will pull its advertising from tech giants like Facebook and Google if they fail to improve transparency about news, protect children from extremist and toxic online content, and move to build public cohesion rather than division, the company’s top marketing executive will say in a speech today.

“As one of the largest advertisers in the world, we cannot have an environment where our consumers don’t trust what they see online,” Keith Weed, chief marketing officer at Unilever, will say to major advertising, media and technology companies at the annual Interactive Advertising Bureau conference in Palm Desert, California. (Unilever provided a copy of the speech to Quartz.) “We cannot continue to prop up a digital supply chain—one that delivers over a quarter of our advertising to our consumers—which at times is little better than a swamp in terms of its transparency.”

Trashing tech is gaining steam recently. Governments are fining the Silicon Valley titans, seemingly everyone—including tech executives themselves —want them to be regulated, and a steady stream of insiders are coming out against them, saying that their products are designed to hijack your attention, keeping you from accomplishing any of your own goals, whether that’s getting work done or building actual human relationships. Roger McNamee, an early
Facebook investor, said last week that he was speaking out against Facebook because he had “contributed to creating something that created great harm.” Speaking at Truth in Tech, a Washington, DC, conference dedicated to examining the effects of technology on kids, McNamee said that he tried to engage Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg privately to fix the problems they helped create, but has made no inroads.

But advertisers have the power of the purse, which means tech companies might actually be inclined to listen to them. Unilever, which owns popular brands like Dove, Marmite, PG Tips, and Ben & Jerry’s, spent £6.8 billion last year on advertising, behind only Proctor & Gamble. Weed says that the tech giants’ failure to take complaints about the social ramifications of their products seriously means that what might have been been “internal” industry issues between advertisers and companies are now very public ones:

How to find number on Facebook

How to find number on Facebook

How to find number on Facebook
How to find my Facebook friend's phone number without asking him/her
Nitin Kumar Teotia, Works at Larsen & Toubro Infotech (2013-present) ·
To check the Contact details of Facebook Friend without asking him/her please follow the below instructions:
You need to login to your Facebook profile
Then go to your friends account page.
There on top, Click on “About”
Then from option on the left, click on “Contact and Basic Info”
You will get the Number there.
If the number is not there, that means your friend have not added his/her number in his/her Facebook account.
You can only search for the number of your friends account if He/She have updated that on His/Her Facebook Account.
If this option does not work:
Try Google
Google her/his name, you will find some details that are available on google.
Now search for her/his name.pdf &.ppt you will find some details, last time i found a number on google since she uploaded here resume and it was there in some site.
Finally getting that certain someone's phone number is not difficult to do if you go about it the right way. Here is some advice on how to do so.

Method 1
Preparing to Ask
Build up your confidence. A person with confidence is very attractive to the opposite gender.Feel your best by putting on your favorite outfit, styling your hair, and listening to your favorite music. Of course, you can only do this if you know in advance that you plan on asking someone for their number.Even if you don’t feel that confident, act with confidence. It will appear the same to onlookers, and eventually the act will transition to the real deal.
Don’t rehearse too much. If you practice a scene over and over in your head about asking for someone’s number, it will either 1) look equally rehearsed in person, or 2) work out differently in real life, making the practice unnecessary.
Know your intentions. Are you asking this persons number to call them up for fun? To meet them the next day? For a date in a week? Have an idea of what you plan on doing with their number before you ask.
Be prepared for conversation. Although nerves can get in the way and make real talking seem like the most frightening thing in the world, it is unfortunately necessary for you to sell your charming self in exchange for a number.Don’t expect to just walk up, ask for a number, and leave. You will have to do a little talking before and after the number-taking goes down.be open and honest. They may ask you questions, in which case your best solution is to be brief and truthful.Don’t monopolize the conversation. Although it is easy to talk about ourselves, ask your potential partner questions and give them time to respond. Be a good listener, it is very attractive.Know when to end the conversation. Although a little discussion is good, drawing it out for too long becomes boring. Make sure that you aren’t being too time-consuming in your conversations.
Don’t stalk them. Although you may know in advance that you want a person’s phone number, never stalk them to get it. Being caught in the act of creeping on them will definitely not put you on their good side.[1]

Method 2
Asking for the Number
Try being direct. The most simple option is being very direct. Approach the person, start a conversation, and make a comment along the lines of “you know, I’ve really enjoyed talking to you. Do you think I could have your phone number and we could do it again sometime?”If you are asking a stranger, don’t worry about having a lengthy conversation. The person likely knows that you are approaching them out of romantic interest. If you know this person before asking for their number, make sure your intentions are clear. You don’t want to come across as a platonic friend looking for support when you are really romantically interested in them.
Ask to borrow something. Say that you need to borrow something, for example a pen, and then ask if you can have their phone number so you can call them to meet and give whatever the item was back to them. This is simultaneously flirty and straightforward, a perfect combination.
Ask with a choice. Instead of asking a yes-or-no “can I have your number?” question, offer two choices. “Could I have your phone number or email?” This way, they are more likely to give you a definite means of contacting them.
Swap business cards. Although business cards are less commonly held by today's youth, swapping business cards is a great way to get someone’s contact. It also verifies that their number is real, not a fake one given because they aren’t interested.[2]

Method 3
What to Do Next
Walk away smoothly. Once you’ve gotten their phone number, don’t linger. Instead, walk away calmly and either leave the scene or hang out in a different area.
Wait patiently. Although you have their number now, don’t take that as a sign to call them immediately. Wait at least 24 hours before making a move and giving them a call.
Call, don’t text. Although texting offers an emotional shield, it is distancing and impersonal. For a much more personal conversation, call them. This goes for the first or the fortieth time you get a hold of them; calling is almost always preferable to texting.
Don’t panic. This is just another person, right? So don’t become anxious and worried the first time you actually use their number. Keep calm and collected and it will show, making you even that much more attractive to them.

Method 4
Getting Someone's Phone Number Without Asking
Take their phone. If you are with the person, try taking their phone. You could do this secretly and hide it, or be open and flirty about it.Send yourself a text message from their phone, and add your contact to their list.Look up their number in their phone settings.
Ask someone else for their number. If you have a mutual friend, simply ask them for the person's number instead. This way, you get the number without having to be so up-front about it.
Look it up in a directory. If you have a phone book, school directory, or archive of coworker phone numbers, look up their number. Use whatever method you have available to find their number.

Edit Name Of Facebook Page

Can I Change Name On Facebook, Edit Name Of Facebook Page     No comments

How I changed my Facebook Business Page Name

How I changed my Facebook Business Page Name
I started a Facebook page for my business many years ago. I had spent thousands of dollars running ad campaigns and gaining likes. My business was part of a worldwide franchise, so I was using their brand in my Facebook Page Name (which I recommend you don’t do, I found out it can be hard to change!).

When branching out on my own, I wanted to keep the page, and the thousands of followers I had gained through my campaigns and years of running my business. I thought it would be simple enough, follow the Facebook Help instructions and simply request a name change.

Here are the instructions on Facebook to change your page name.
How do I change my Page’s name?

You’ll need to be an admin to request a change to your Page’s name.

To request a change to your Page’s name:
Click About on the left side of your Page
Click Edit Page Info
Enter a new Page name and click Save Changes
Review your request and click Request Change

Seems simple enough, right?

I soon found out… not so simple!

Every time I requested a new name, it would be rejected. After 3 attempts I decided to reach out to my network of professionals in the digital marketing/web space and even they were not sure what to do. Facebook make it extremely hard to change your page name, and even harder to contact someone to find out why!

I turned to Google for answers and I found all sorts of info on the web…

In the e-web marketing blog they say;

“Unfortunately it’s not as simple as that. In fact, for those of us with over 200 ‘likes’, changing your Facebook Page name is not an easy task. The Facebook Help Centre doesn’t provide much assistance either, with the only answer to changing your name being that, well, you can’t. This is clearly a big problem for businesses that have spent time and effort building their fan base. Indeed, many businesses I have spoken to have had to create an entirely new page from scratch and while they can ask existing fans to ‘like’ the new page, the conversion rate of an attempt such as that is slim”

How To Change Company Name On Facebook
How Do I Change My Username And Business Name On Facebook And Twitter?

It’s Easier Than You Think

Updating information on your Twitter and Facebook page is generally pretty easy. However, there are some elements that require approval from each network or may impact your page in ways you might not realize. Before you make the switch, familiarize yourself first with the basics.
Changing your Facebook Page Name

Changing your business name on your Facebook page usually requires approval from Facebook before it can take effect. Your claim may be denied if the proposed new name is not close enough to the current name or violates any of their page guidelines. If your Facebook page has not been used and has very few likes, the easiest thing may be to create a new page with the new name. However, this is never recommended for active pages with a large amount of likes and engagement.

For more information on how to change your page name, check out Facebook’s support section.
Facebook Usernames

The unique identifier in your Facebook page url (the ending of the url as indicated by xyz: facebook.com/xyz) is called your username. If your url includes your page name with a long string of numbers, you do not have a unique username associated with your page. See examples below:
Facebook page with a Unique Username: www.facebook.com/paperstreet
Example of the format for a Facebook page without a unique username: www.facebook.com/The-Law-Firm-Name-123456789112345/
Things to Consider When Changing Your Facebook Username
To select a username you can follow these steps.
Keep in mind not all pages are eligible to create a username, especially if the page is fairly new with very little activity.
If you want to change your username, you may only be given one chance to change it.
The desired username may not be used by anyone else, so keep in mind you can’t always get the one you want.
Facebook has specific guidelines on what can be in your username which you can see here.
If you change your username, your old Facebook url will notredirect to your new url. Meaning, anywhere the old Facebook page url is linked will no longer work.
Changing your Twitter Profile Name

Changing your Twitter profile name is very easy. It does not require approval and the updated name will show immediately after changing it. However, keep in mind you are limited to 20 characters (this includes spaces). You simply just click “edit profile” while on your Twitter profile and update the name as needed.

The unique identifier in your Twitter profile url (the ending of the url as indicated by xyz: twitter.com/xyz) is called your username. It is also sometimes referred to as a Twitter handle. This also appears under your name on Twitter and is how other accounts tag and mention you. For example, our Twitter username is @paperstreet and our url is twitter.com/paperstreet. However, keep in mind you are limited to 15 characters.
Things to Consider When Changing Your Twitter Username
Twitter usernames are very easy to change within the settings of your account
Usernames are limited to 15 characters
Usernames can only use letters, numbers, and underscores. That means no spaces or symbols allowed.
If you change your username, your old Twitter url will not redirect to your new url. Meaning, anywhere the old Twitter url is linked will no longer work.
There is a slight workaround for to help with this issue. Some people create a new account with a dummy username, edit the old Twitter username to a dummy one as well, go back to the new account and change it to the old username, and finally change the old account to the desired new username. It sounds confusing, but it basically allows them to own both usernames and put a note saying they have changed the account to something else. There is always a chance Twitter could remove the old one since you are technically not using it anymore, so keep this in mind.

Can I Change Name On Facebook

Can I Change Name On Facebook
Can I Change Name On Facebook
How to Change Your Name on Facebook
Whether you’ve just gotten married, no longer identify with your birth name, or just want to change the overly formal “Robert” to “Rob” on your profile, here’s how to change the name you’re using on Facebook.

Before diving in, it’s worth having a look at Facebook’s names policy. You’re required to use “the name [you] go by in everyday life”, but this gives you a fair amount of flexibility. My name on Facebook is Harry and it’s what everyone calls me, but it’s not the name on my birth certificate.
You also can’t use things like:
Symbols, numbers, unusual capitalization, repeating characters or punctuation.
Characters from multiple languages.
Titles of any kind.
Words or phrases in place of a name.
Offensive or suggestive words of any kind.

As long as you don’t use anything too ridiculous, you should be able to change your name to whatever you want without Facebook having a hissy fit. It’s also worth noting, once you’ve changed your name, you won’t be able to change it again for another 60 days.

To change your name on Facebook, head to the Settings screen. You can get to it by clicking on the arrow in the top right corner and then clicking Settings.

Next to Name, click Edit.

You’ll then be able to edit and change your name to whatever you want.

Click Review Changes and then enter your password and click Save Changes.

If you’ve got a nickname, professional name or other name that you don’t necessarily go by in everyday life but want attached to your Facebook profile, click Add Other Names. These other names will help people find you in search, so for example, you’d show up for searches for both your married and maiden names.

If you check the Show at Top of Profile checkbox, the name you choose will be shown in brackets after your Facebook profile name. For example, with this nickname, my Facebook profile would say Harry Guinness (Hazza).

Click Save Changes and the new name will be added to your Facebook profile.
