                                     App Facebook Lite
Facebook Lite is, like its name suggests, a lighter version of the popular social network's mobile application. The software takes up less space on your mobile device and uses much less data that its more full-bodied parent app, meaning pages load quickly and you can worry less about going over your monthly data limit. Facebook Lite not only allows you to connect to Facebook with very little internet connectivity, but it also allows you to access Messenger without needing to download the separate application.

Keeping up with friends is faster and easier than ever with the Facebook Lite app! Use Facebook Lite as a friends app to connect and keep up with your social network. The Facebook Lite app is small, allowing you to save space on your phone and use Facebook in 2G conditions. Many of the classic features of Facebook are available on the app, such as sharing to a Timeline, liking photos, searching for people, and editing your profile and groups. Specific features include:

* Find friends and family
* Post status updates & use Facebook emoji to help relay what’s going on in your world
Share photos and your favorite memes
* Get notified when friends like and comment on your posts
* Find local social events, RSVP, and make plans to meet up with friends
Interact with your friends by adding your own comments or reactions to their Facebook posts
* Save photos by adding them to photo albums
* Follow people to get their latest news
* Look up local businesses to see reviews, operation hours, and pictures
* Buy and sell locally on Facebook Marketplace

The Facebook app does more than help you stay connected with your friends and interests. It's also your personal organizer for storing, saving and sharing photos. It's easy to share photos straight from your Android camera, and you have full control over your photos and privacy settings. You can choose when to keep individual photos private or even set up a secret photo album to control who sees it.

Facebook Lite also helps you keep up with the latest news and current events around the world. Subscribe to your favorite celebrities, brands, websites, artists, or sports teams to follow their News Feeds from the convenience of your Facebook Lite app!

How to send a picture on Facebook
Facebook members use the social network to connect with friends through status updates, comments and shared photos. Members are staying connected throughout the day using computers, mobile phones and tablets. To accommodate a variety of user preferences and technologies, Facebook has created several options for photo sending. Whether you prefer to upload, email or text your photos, you can share them within the Facebook site, or externally, in just a few clicks.
Send Photos Via Upload
1. Log in to your Facebook account using your email address and password.
2. Select the “Add Photo/Video” link that appears near the top of any page. To send one photo, click the “Upload Photo/Video” option to select a photo from your computer or mobile device and click the “Browse” button to locate and choose your photo. To send multiple photos from your computer, click the “Create An Album” option and follow prompts to select multiple photos.
3. After photo selection, use the drop down menu in the lower-right corner of the dialogue box to set photo privacy to “Public,” “Friends,” “Only Me” or “Custom,” or select a friend list if you’ve set up that feature. Click “Post” to send the photo(s).
Send Photos Via Facebook Mobile Web Email
1. Go to m.facebook.com and log in to your Facebook account.
2. Click the “Photo” option that appears under the status update field at the top of any page. Find your unique “Post-By-Email” address, which appears below the “Post It By Email” heading.
3. Open your email application and follow prompts to compose a new email. Enter your unique “Post-By-Email” address in the recipient field and include a photo caption in the subject line, if desired. Send the email.

Send Photos Via Text
1. Activate your mobile device if you haven’t already done so. Log in to your Facebook account and click the “Account Settings” option that appears in the drop down menu under the triangular symbol at the top of any page. Click the “Mobile” link in the left column and follow prompts to add a phone, which include composing a text message and receiving a confirmation code.
2. Access the text message function from your mobile device. Compose a message containing the desired photo and enter “32665” in the recipient field.
3. Include a photo caption in the subject line, if desired, and send the photo.

Tip
Your unique email address can also be used to update your status. Compose a message to “32665” containing only your status in the subject line and send. Share an entire album on external sites using the customized URL that appears at the bottom of the album’s main page. When you “Tag” someone in a photo or photo comment, it is likely to be sent to that person via News Feed, notification, email or text message, depending on established privacy settings.

How To Check Poke In Facebook App

How To Check Poke In Facebook App

How To Check Poke In Facebook App

How to View "Pokes" on Your Facebook App
Before we had dating apps like Tinder or OkCupid, Facebook’s “poke” function let users get the attention of others in its own unique way. For many, poking someone on Facebook was considered a form of harmless flirtation, and an expression of interest, similar to swiping right on Tinder—the person you’ve poked will know you’re interested in some way, but nothing beyond that. They might respond, they might not. But, regardless, poking was a surefire way for a user to let their interest be known!

As Facebook grew, the poking function became more bothersome than useful, until the Facebook “poke” reached an almost ironic, cutesy stage, where people would “poke” each other for the sake of being funny. While we don’t know what sort of social status poking someone holds these days, we can tell you that the poking function has been relegated to the world of Facebook apps, which many people rarely check.

Two Ways to Check Your Pokes
If you’re looking to check your Facebook pokes, the first option is to open the Facebook app, and go all the way to the bottom of the screen, where you can click the “More” button. Then, go to the “Apps” button, and click again. Unless Pokes is one of your more frequently used apps, this is where it will appear. If you tend to use the app frequently, it may appear on the list of options when you initially click “More,” maybe even showing up next to one of Facebook’s more favored apps right now, “On This Day.”

Once found, click the Pokes app, and there you are—you’ll be able to see who has poked you recently, whom you’ve poked, and Facebook’s suggestions for who you should poke! For example, if you look at a friend’s page often, the Poke app will probably suggest you give this person a quick “poke.”

The second way to check your pokes is to simply go to the search bar at the top of the Facebook Mobile app, and type in “Pokes.” This should take you to the app itself, which will offer you the same options as the method described above.

Facebook Lite for Android: A Hands-On Look
If you've ever wanted to go on a social media diet, here's your chance. Starting this week, Facebook is making the slimmed-down Facebook Lite app available to Android users in North America, Australia, and Western Europe for the first time.

Facebook first debuted the lightweight version of its main social networking app three years ago to better serve users in developing countries—specifically, people in the parts of the world where a mobile data connection is difficult to access, unreliable, or just painfully slow. The streamlined app is only 1.68 megabytes in size, and downloads as fast as your average cat GIF. It installs on almost any Android phone, and runs well on flaky, low-bandwidth data connections. Critically, it uses less data than big ol' regular Facebook; people who pay by the megabyte can use it to browse their News Feed without racking up crazy fees.

Nigeria, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam were among the nations to get Facebook Lite at launch. Since then, it's been made available in 100 countries across Asia, Latin America, Europe, and Africa.1

Now, Facebook Lite lands in eight more countries—and some of them might even be your country. Facebook's adding the new regions because, well, crappy or expensive data connections turn out to be a universal malady. So now we, too, get to take advantage of Lite's data-saving magic—at least those of us with Android phones, since Facebook Lite isn't available on iOS. (Yet.)

It could take a while for the app to show up in your region's Play Store, but once you see it, you may wonder if it's for you. Here's what to expect if you go Lite.
Some Lite Prodding
The first thing you'll notice is that Lite looks as though it's been beamed in from 10 years ago. The default text size is smaller throughout the app. All of your friends are represented by small square avatars instead of big round ones. The buttons for liking and commenting are tiny and monochrome, and the overall visual style is simpler and less cartoonish. The simplicity echoes the design of its sibling Facebook app, Messenger Lite. More blocks, fewer balloons. Flat and clean and fast, like the mobile web used to be.

Facebook has often said that most of the changes in Lite are under the hood. These performance throttles aren't transparent. You can tell the app has been tuned to operate more efficiently, and to feel snappy even on ancient Android hardware.

Whenever you tap something in Lite, either to dive deeper into a post or simply to fave a photo in your timeline, it doesn't respond with animations. The comments window doesn't slide up, the text field doesn't grow larger and invite you to type, and the blue Like thumb doesn't jiggle jollily when you tap it. Animations put more strain on a phone's resources—you may have seen the animation-heavy interfaces slow waay down on great-uncle Joe's Samsung Galaxy S II—so Facebook Lite does away with almost all of them. When you Like a post, the thumb just turns blue. Hold the Like button to choose an alternate reaction, and you get a simple two-by-three pop-up menu of your options. Tap the LOL face, and a LOL face just appears without ceremony.

How Can I Open My Fb Account
It's obvious you have tried opening it with your old email and password but if that's not helping use forgot password and follow the steps. If that also doesn't work then try reopening your email which was used for opening that Facebook account and try with your login again, you shall get a passport reset link on that email. If all this fails contact Facebook and they might help you get your account back if it's not deleted.

From what I could find, you just want to try and contact Facebook and ask for the account back. You can even ask the police to help you find it.

Asking Facebook for your account back is quick and easy. There are also websites out there who can give you bonus tips. Go to Facebooks account and just request the account back and explain why. They may have to check it first, but as long as there’s nothing bad on there than you should be good to go on getting it back.

How to Install Facebook Lite and Messenger Lite on Android in Any Country

The standard Facebook app for Android—how can I put this delicately?—sucks. Not only is it probably draining more battery from your phonethan most of your other apps, Facebook has gutted the messenger functionality from it in order to push a separate app and platform. There are alternatives to the official app, but most of them can’t also send user-to-user messages.

Luckily, there’s an official solution that’s both efficient and effective: the Facebook Lite app.

What Is Facebook Lite?

Facebook created the Lite version of its Android app specifically for developing countries and other places where robust mobile Internet isn’t always available. It’s designed to offer access to all the basic functions of the site, including person-to-person messages, while using the smallest amount of bandwidth possible.
The app is also designed to target low-cost phones themselves. To this end, it’s much smaller and less complex than the full Facebook app: while the standard Facebook application from the Play Store is 162MB for the application alone (without cached images and such) and Facebook’s Messenger app is another 104MB, the latest version of Facebook Lite is only 4.5MB.

Messenger Lite is pretty much the same thing as Facebook Lite…but for Messenger. Stop me if I’m going too fast here. It’s a lightweight version of the app that has fewer features, but uses less storage and bandwidth.

The odd thing is, the instant messenger functionality of Messenger is available inside the Facebook Lite app, making Messenger Lite somewhat superfluous. Messenger Lite can handle images and stickers that Facebook Lite can’t, so if those are important to you, it can be useful.

Unfortunately, Facebook Lite and Messenger Lite aren’t officially available on the Play Store in some of Facebook’s biggest markets, like the United States. Facebook would really prefer those users go to its full app (with its lucrative advertisements) rather than the one designed for more limited areas, and use the separate Messenger app too. Luckily, it’s simple to download a version of the app and install it manually.
Step One: Allow Third-Party Apps

Before installing an Android app from outside the Play Store, you’ll need to enable the installation process in the Settings menu. (If you’ve already done this, proceed to step two.) Note that this process might be slightly different on different devices, but you should be able to find the “Unknown sources” option on just about any Android device by following similar instructions to these.

Open the main Settings menu, then tap “Security.”
Tap the option labelled “Unknown Sources.” Tap “OK” on the warning that pops up.

Now you’re ready to download the APK. If keeping the unknown sources option open bothers you, you can disable it again when you’re finished—Facebook Lite will still work after it’s installed.

Step Two: Download the Facebook Lite APK

Open your phone’s web browser and head to this link. Messenger Lite is at this link–just follow the instructions for Facebook Lite below in the same manner.

APK Mirror is a repository of verified Android APK files—everything on the site is checked for authenticity and safety. Select the latest version of Facebook Lite from the list beneath the description.

Select the “arm” version if you have a standard Android phone, or “noarch” if your phone uses an Intel chip. If you’re not sure, select “arm.”

Now scroll down and tap the “download” button, then tap “OK” as the browser warns you about the APK file.

Step Three: Install the APK

Swipe down from the notification bar. You should see the APK file you just downloaded. Tap it to begin the process.

In the next screen, tap “Install.” That’s it, you’re ready to go.

Open the app from your home screen—it’s labelled “Lite” in the app drawer and has a white icon rather than Facebook’s normal blue. Log in with your account and you’ll see your standard timeline.

The interface is pretty straightforward: the icons at the top go directly to the Timeline, Contacts, Messages (this is the internal messenger you’re looking for), notifications, and Search pages. The icon with three horizontal bars is the main menu, wherein you’ll find links to less-used parts of the app and the Settings menu.

If everything looks good, feel free to uninstall the larger Facebook app and Messenger. But be aware, since you’ve downloaded Facebook Lite or Messenger Lite as a non-Play Store app, it won’t be updated automatically. You may want to check APK Mirror periodically for an updated version.

Facebook Lite for Android
Facebook Lite is the social network's latest standalone app to make it to market, and this time it's a cut down version of the native mobile app aimed at devices with poor network connections.
Surprisingly feature rich.
With smartphone adoption in emerging markets soaring, but people in these countries often having patchy internet connections and low-end devices, the release of Facebook Lite seem to make sense.
Even though the app is a lot smaller in size than its regular Android sister (and so doesn't cause issues for devices with a small amount of memory) it doesn't feel light on features. You can comment and like friends' posts; post a geo-tagged status accompanied by photos; send messages to individuals or groups (without being prompted to switch to Messenger); find friends; and post to and set up groups, events, and pages. There isn't an in-app browser (so all links take you outside the app), nor is there support for video and audio (unsurprising given the app is for poor internet connections).

In terms of appearance, it looks pretty similar to the main Android appfrom a few years ago or a slightly older version of the mobile website. Facebook Lite maintains the layout of the full mobile app, with the side-scrolling menu of the newsfeed, friend requests, messages, notifications, and settings remaining at the top.
Text heavy
Newsfeed data is quick to load in Facebook Lite, even if stories STILL aren't loaded chronologically. However, even when using WiFi to post photos and status updates on a Nexus 5 there is some delay, which doesn't bode well for people who may only have 2G connections on devices at the lower end of the market. The app often uses words instead of symbols for common actions, which sometimes results in text disappearing off the top or the side of the page. You will also really notice the difference in layout when viewing your friends' profile or messages because there are no images.
Saying that, the big buttons at the top of each individual menu saying things like 'new message' simplify interactions and make Facebook Lite really easy to navigate for first time users.
Some way to go
While Facebook Lite retains many of the features of the Android app that made it so popular, the lag when doing things like uploading photos (over WiFi, not 3G) was surprising. Compared to the original mobile app, it was actually slower. So, while initial user reaction since its release has been good, Facebook still has some work to do if it wants so see success with this standalone app.

Facebook Lite 109.0.0.5.73 for Android
Facebook Lite is an official Facebook client that lets you use this popular social network through a much lighter app that's better suited for low-power Android devices or ones with limited Internet connections.

The first thing that stands out about Facebook Lite is that the app takes up about 250 kilobytes on your memory once installed. This means that it occupies a hundred times less space than the normal Facebook app ... and still has all the features you need from it.

Besides this drastic size reduction, Facebook Lite offers other interesting advantages for users with limited Internet connections. The app is expressly designed to work over 2G networks, so it lets you access your profile and communicate with your friends while consuming hardly any data.

Facebook Lite is an excellent alternative to the usual Facebook client that lets you use this social network on less powerful devices and over very weak Internet connections.
Seven Lite apps to save space and RAM on your Android

Lots of the go-to apps we use on our smartphones are starting to get a bit out of hand in terms of their resource consumption. In many cases even midrange devices can't handle the ballooning suck on memory. Hence the proliferation of Lite apps (both official and unofficial) these days, all of them set up to offer the same main features as their original counterparts but massively reducing RAM use and the space taken up on the device. Here are some of the most popular and efficient ones available (plus a tool to create your own lite apps as a bonus).

When Facebook Lite appeared in 2015 we couldn't imagine the waves it would make over time. The light version of the Facebook app has become indispensable for people who have weak connections – or simply don't want to eat up all their memory with the gigantic original Facebook app. Amazingly, it's now reached 200 million users, and this achievement is being celebrated with improvements to the app's performance.

Facebook Lite: the slimmed-down, faster alternative to the full app
Facebook’s new app for Android has all the features of its full app, but is faster, smaller and lighter on data.

The Facebook Lite app is designed for use in developing countries where mobile data services can be spotty, slow and with low-bandwidth.

Full, data-hungry apps such as the standard Facebook Android app with its auto-playing videos and image-rich News Feed are difficult to use in any situation where mobile data is poor.

Facebook’s first attempt at making a lighter variant of its service was Facebook Zero – a stripped-down website that the social network partnered with mobile phone networks in some countries.

A Facebook Lite website was also created for a similar purpose, but has now graduated into app form, which enables a richer experience and potentially lower data use as assets such as logos and buttons can be stored locally in the app.

The new app will be less than 1MB in size, and includes the News Feed, status updates, photos, notifications and other bits and pieces familiar to users of the social network.

Facebook Lite is rolling out in countries across Asia and will be arriving in parts of Latin America, Africa and Europe over the next few weeks.

Considering that many parts of Britain and the US struggle with poor data connections, especially in densely populated cities and rural areas with weak signal, a lighter, more streamlined Facebook app that works when all others don’t could make it a very attractive prospect.

Facebook did not confirm whether the app would be available in UK stores, however.

The Guardian is editorially independent, meaning we set our own agenda. Our journalism is free from commercial bias and not influenced by billionaire owners, politicians or shareholders. No one edits our Editor. No one steers our opinion. This is important because it enables us to give a voice to the voiceless, challenge the powerful and hold them to account. It’s what makes us different to so many others in the media, at a time when factual, honest reporting is critical.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps to support it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as $1, you can support the Guardian – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
